Corbin Bleu Reaches New 'Heights' On Broadway
High School Musical’s Corbin Bleu will make his Broadway debut in the musical In The Heights on Monday, January 25, 2010.
The 20-year-old actor will play the lead Usnavi (originally played by Lin-Manuel Miranda) in a limited 13-week engagement at the NYC Richard Rodgers Theater through Sunday, April 25, 2010.
In The Heights picked up Best Musical and Best Original Score at the 2008 Tony Awards.

He does not look right for the role. But I am sure he will be good.
yeah, he’s not dark enough nor is his hair kinky enough to play a Sammy Sosa type(pre-bleaching) Dominican. Maybe they should have chosen a dread-locked haired Manny Ramirez type.

He’s cute, but I think he’s going to be terrible. I’ve seen ‘The Heights’ quite a few times and I’m not picturing him in the role of Usnavi at all. Where’s Javier Munoz (currently in the role) going?? Not to mention all the damn screeching teenyboppers that are now going to pollute the audience when he starts. Vanessa is going to look like his mother! I can’t imagine the rest of the cast being impressed with this nonsense. At least privately.
