Synopsis: Fifteen year-old Lux (Robertson) has spent her life going from foster family to foster family. She has finally decided to become an emancipated minor. During her journey through the legal maze, Lux finds her biological father, 30-something Nate “Baze” Bazile (Polaha), who lives above a bar and is astonished to learn he has a daughter. Lux learns that her mother is Cate Cassidy (Appleby), a star on local radio, along with her boyfriend, Ryan Thomas (Kerr Smith). A judge decides to grant temporary custody of Lux to Baze and Cate instead of emancipating her.

I can’t wait until ‘they’ start making more shows for grown-ups. No wonder I don’t have cable and read or toodle around on my Mac – most shows are for teenagers.

Maybe you all should try to watch this show first before declaring it to be
failed show. Lauren Graham was not that old to play Alexis Bloedel’s mom either because they look more like a sister. But the show works.
This show have not started yet and you all are eager for it to get cancelled why don’t you all watch it first before you judge THAT’S WHAT A ALL SMART INTELLIGENT PEOPLE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO.
All these people look the same age.
It looks good but I don’t know if a series can be made of this. They should have done a mini series. Remember when tv did mini series?
Looks more like it should be a miniseries or movie instead of a show. I am fond of Shiri from her Roswell days, though. Lets hope they don’t jump the shark and try to have the 2 parents have a romantic storyline. That’s a show-killer, just like the guy playing the dad.
I remember I used to watch Roswell. I’m glad I get to see Shiri Appleby and Kerr Smith work together again.

Go Jeff and Marla, other negative people please read the reviews! Many critics who have seen a few of the eps are raving about it. Please be open and let quality tv in to your homes before slamming it.

yeah, glad to see shiri appleby again! about time.. love her in roswell! but it’s true, this robertson girl looks older than shiri, why they didn’t get a girl who looks younger? but still, good luck on this show! good luck liz parker! :)

Shiri was in Roswell, and Kerr in Dawson & Charmed. They never worked together I think.
I’m SO glad to see Shiri Appleby on tv again! They didn’t use her enough in ER. She’s a wonderful actress, so I bet she will make the “I have a 15 years old daughter” thing works. I don’t usually watch CW shows now, but I’ll watch this one!

@marla: I agree with you. In my opinion it looks really good and it seems as if it has potential. I don’t think the parents look too young. They supposedly had the child young. She looks [the mother] as if she was 30, maybe she had the child when she was fifteen (that happens people).I don’t know, I’m going to give it a chance. It looks better than the current shows on the CW. (Gossip Girl is the biggest trash I have ever seen and don’t get me started on 90210).
