The Blind Side being nominated beside the likes of Inglourious ******** and The Hurt Locker is insulting. The Blind Side is not remotely in the same league as those films and shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breath together. Just because it made a lot of money does not make it Oscar worthy.
Yeah, I so hope he’ll get the Oscar!
Who cares
@Imma be.: i totally agree.
transformers should have gotten a visual effects nod
I have nothing against George Clooney, i am sure he is a good-hearted man but why is he always nominated for a Best Actor when he is just playing himself in all his movies. I can’t recall a movie where he disappeared into the character. I mean, when I saw Brad Pitt in Fight Club, I would remember him as Tyler Durden or Aldo Raine in IB or Phillip Hoffman Seymour, he was Capote. These are actors. They can make you believe on the characters they are portraying. They become that character.
@Imma be.:
um…i’m sorry. but the blind side is good. it’s touching and meaningful. It has everything a good movie should have. :)
personally, i like it very much. watched the trailer and love it already
May C.Waltz get the Oscar:| he was amazing..made me belive he really was col.Hans Landa:|
Kudos Carey Mulligan!
Hmm…I think Marion Cotillard’s role in Nine was deeper than Penelope’s. Not saying she should win, just that she should have gotten the nod.
@i like the blind side :D: you haven’t even seen it??
Completely agree w/ tha comment above about how Clooney keeps getting undeserved nominations.
Happy for A Serious Man being nominated for best picture.
I’m really disappointed Marion Cotillard didn’t get a nomination for Nine. I love Penelope Cruz, and I love Sandra Bullock but neither one of them deserve a Oscar nomination this year. Neither did the two chicks from Up In the Air. I wish District 9 would get more attention. It was really good and that guy who was in it deserved an Oscar nomination.
“Just because it made a lot of money does not make it Oscar worthy.”
The same is true for Avatar.
I loved District 9 too. Avatar is amazing in many ways but I felt District 9 conveyed a more relevant message, relevant to our problems on earth.
The Hurt Locker ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And The Blind Side is a piece of s***.
If Christphe Walz doesn’t win, I will lose my trust in the Oscars.
We all know that Jeff Bridges , Monique, Sandra Bullock are front runners to win the award…So don’t even try ..And we do know that
Matt Damon won’t win the German from Glorious is going to win
We all know the winners already …That is why Brad Pitt is not
showing up.. and if George was smart he would not either…
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY…We don’t need big stars there either
like Will Smith or Tom Cruise or any 20 million dollar actors.. Any
more.. Just low class actors…Gab from Precious should win than
she can say the same thing that Halle said I won the first time making
a movie and a black woman wins.
Avatar deserves every award it is nominated for.
Amazing film.
I hope Sandra wins and that’s all i HATE that boring-azz show YAWN!!!!!
@Caught: go die
Avatar really should NOT be on that list. Having great special effects doesn’t change the fact that the story is simplistic and tired.
Will Anna Kendrick no longer star in Twilight now that she’s a serious actress?
the blind side is amazing!
great story and very inspirational!
i hope it wins!
And Sandra will definitely win for her role in it! A-FRICKING-MAZING!
never found sandra bullock believable as an actress - she is cute - but that’s about it
