Nancy Kerrigan's Father's Death Ruled Homicide
Skater Nancy Kerrigan’s father, Daniel Kerrigan, who passed away late last month, will have his death treated as a homicide, investigators say.
The Middlesex, Mass. D.A.’s office released a statement today saying, “The Medical Examiner determined that the cause of death was cardiac dysrhytmia following a physical altercation with neck compression causing injury to the neck in the form of a cartilage fracture to the larynx area, in a person with hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular heart disease” (via People).
Early reports indicated that Daniel, 70, and his son, Mark, 45, had an altercation over using the phone. Mark was charged with assault and battery in late January.
Nancy’s mother, Brenda, said last month that her husband died of a heart attack and that she didn’t think anything suspicious had happened.
Our deepest condolences go out to Nancy and her loved ones.

Appalling. A son murders his 70 year old father in a dispute over a goddamn phone. Sick. I hope he spends a long time in jail.
#1… I cosign your comment.
Poor Nancy.
This is appalling. But Mark Kerrigan has a long history of psychiatric issues, violence, etc.
He was beyond help.
RIP to Daniel Kerrigan. It’s terrible to be hurt by your own children, much less killed.
Mark is a bully who tried to kill his ex wife when she stood up to him over something so trivial she nearly forgot what the argument was all about. He was sent to prison for it and instead of rallying around the victimized daughter-in-law, the Kerrigan family stood by Mark, and now look what he’s done. His ex-wife stated that mark was always jealous of Nancy and the closeness she shared with her father. Mark is a cold-bloodied killer so stop with the excuses. He should go to prison longer than four years that’s for sure.
What a familial tragedy. Obviously there were some deep-seated issues that unfortunately, resulted, in somebody’s death. Sad indeed.
I hope this isn’t true. It’s too sad to believe the brother would have anything to do with his father’s death.
its tanya hardings fault
i’m confused as to how a laryngeal cartilage fracture could be considered a cause of death.. to then rule that death a homicide… unless you can prove the fracture caused the heart attack… which i don’t think is likely…
She is very gorgeous
She looks nice!
