Ashton Kutcher Is A Guardian
After losing his crew in a fatal crash, legendary Rescue Swimmer, Ben Randall (Kevin Costner), is sent to teach at "A" School, an elite training program for Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers. Wrestling with the loss of his crew members, he throws himself into teaching, turning the program upside down with his unorthodox training methods. While there, he encounters a young, cocky swim champ, Jake Fischer (Ashton Kutcher), who is driven to be the best. During training, Randall helps mold Jake's character, combining his raw talent with the heart and dedication required of a Rescue Swimmer. Upon graduation, Jake follows Randall to Kodiak, Alaska, where they face the inherent dangers of the Bering Sea. In his initial solo rescue, Jake learns firsthand from Randall, the true meaning of heroism and sacrifice, echoing the Swimmer's motto..."So Others May Live!"

Okay?! I'm NOT a fan of Ashton, I don't think he's a good actor. Also considering that Kevin has been picking some boring movies, I can't say I'm to excited about this movie.

I hope they teach him how to swim like a swim champ.
As a swimmer, it was just painful to see the awful technique in "Swim Fan."

First, Ashton is cute, but def no where near being fit like a Rescue Swimmer!!! I know because I am engaged to one. My personal hero AST1 Kiest (Aviation Survival Technician 1st Class) A.K.A. Petty Office Kiest, currently training future Coast Guard Recruits in Cape May, NJ - Boot Camp. However, his first love is being a Rescue Swimmer something he has been doing since 1990. He has saved many lives and sounds off clearly how proud he is to be part of a great team the USA COAST GUARD!!!! (me too)By the way, a rescue swimmer must under go a strenuous and physical program, with the number one requirement to maintain extremely fit. I wish the producers of this movie could show some of the current Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue Swimmers/heroes.
