'Rush' Guitar Lessons
New York City, NY :: More filming went on at Washington Square Park late last week. Actors
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, 28, and
Freddie Highmore, 14, strummed their guitars on the set of Kirsten Sheridan's
August Rush. The story of
August Rush revolves around charismatic young Irish guitarist Louis Rush (
Jonathan Rhys-Meyers) and sheltered young cellist Lyla Rush (
Keri Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above in New York's Washington Square Park, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush (
Freddie Highmore), orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger / mentor / wizard (
Robin Williams), August uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth. More pictures in the gallery!

JRM looks absolutely fantastic, and Freddie is just adorable. I think the casting was quite perfect.
Robin Williams sucks!
You hate Robin Williams? And why?
JRM *die*
Something that's been bothering me - can anyone answer - if it was a chance encounter, why do they all share the same last name?
As I was looking at these pics I struck by the horrible irony that must be occurring for Mr. Williams. Unless I'm mistaken, he has pledged to take care of the recently orphaned only son of his great friends Christopher and Dana Reeve(also both musicians). God bless.
Freddie Highmore is very adorable.
I happened to see filming 3/17 and they
were also filming with another very adorable
young actor. He was with Freddie and Robin
by a fence. Is there any photo available of
that scene? He was just cute! Casting was
perfect!
Fantastic casting. I can't wait to hear what Robin will sound like. He's an *amazing* actor and I'm loving the hair color. With those eyes, he could very well have been a red head at some point
Amazing amazing. JRM rules!!
That young actor will have credits, look under
that section and you will see that young boy
is Aaron Gilberto..... I was there at filming
and was just incredible!
