I read about this last week and I've starting call all my connections to see how I can get involved with this project and see if Brad (and if Angie and the kids will be with him) stay at my hotel.

Finally some rebuilding in New Orleans! If you're not from here you can't imagine how or what things are like. We have an election this weekend and everything is crazy...if the US Gov. can let our soldiers vote while in Iraq the question is why can't they set up satelite voting stations throughout the US for our NO residence? Getting a new Mayor or someone who wants the fame and fortune in office is not the best thing. Our city looks like Iraq...all the low income areas are being forgotten about...only the rich or middle class can afford to live here without the everday stress of how am I going to pay for this or that.

I think it's a great idea for Mr. Pitt to come down and help or give some money and PR to the rebuilding of New Orleans. I think when he ACTUALLY sees the area..he may think he has taken on too much...the area he's focused on doesn't look anything like downtown...at all.

All in all...any help is help. Glad and happy to listen and he sounded very happy...can't wait for baby Jolie-Pitt!!!

First of all, the fact that apartheid era counter insurgency force
being used is a matter of tabloid reporting or speculation which
may not even be true. My recollection of the article which made
this allegation did not even refer to a force but rather to an
individual who was allegedly a member of the apartheid era
enforcers.

Secondly, even if a person was a true white supremacist during
the apartheid era, many have changed their views. Perhaps the changes are
superficial but they are trying. My neighbours are South
Africans and good friends. but her father in law was a Bible thumping, dutch reform church true white
supremacist because that is what he has been taught since the
day he was born. However, since the fall of apartheid he has
learnt to change his views. He has acknowledged his allegiance,
first as a South African and then as a white. He realised that south
african hasn't after all fallen apart when the indigenous africans
took over. Do I refuse to shake his hand when he is introduced to
me??

Thirdly, and most importantly, in south Africa, people who have been actively involved in
persecution in the name of apartheid have been held accountable
in the truth and reconciliation court which was led by Bishop Tutu
and sanctioned by President Mandela and members of the ANC
itself. Those who have participated are now reintegrated into
society. I will respect the will of the South African people to
forgive the oppressors and to create a rainbow nation. If they can
forgive and move on, then I will not judge those who participated
in apartheid's oppression.

I'm not forgetting the crimes of apartheid and they were
horrendous. The utter degradation apartheid tried to impose on
black south africans, the christian justification of the repression
(the dutch reform church were full participants in apartheid and
provided the religious theological underpinnings of the
oppression) is indescribably awful. I am myself an overseas
Chinese and grew up in South East Asia (consider Indonesia,
Malaysia) and have an idea of what it is to be a second class
citizen with fewer rights to the majority. But nothing I've ever
experienced comes close to apartheid. I was shocked when I
learnt about the injustices of the apartheid system. But I will
take my cues from the Africans who have been the victims of
apartheid and now live side by side with their former oppressors.

This is why Nelson Mandela is a great man. thanks to him, South Africa has managed to stave off, at least for now, racial riots, blood shed. Had a massacre happened, I would not have blamed the black South Africans. The injustices, the oppression, the deprivation of choices for the black south african (do you know that black south african did not have a university in south africa till the 1980s?? what a waste of talent). It is truly wonderful that they have been able to at least try to build a rainbow nation and forgive. If that's what they want then the least I can do as an outsider is not point accusationary fingers at apartheid era enforcers.

coz these are Americans and have access to the media and the

If more locals were upset in Namibia than we would be hearing more stories. The story that keeps being told is from last sunday and not even from a local newspaper. With so much interest in BAMZ the Associated Press or Reuters would pick up a local story if it were about BP and AJ. Also most of the complaints were coming from the paps not the people living there.

Only hospitals in the U.S, are good enough, only birthing in a big city like L.A. is the correct way to go. To those of you who say that Brad is a hypocrite and is just doing this competition for some kind of publicity, I must ask you: what have you done or what are you doing to help Katrina's victims? It's quite easy to sit at a computer and type about how Brad is this and that, but at the very least he is mobilizing an endeavour that has the power to help hundreds of people and help rebuild a city. Any Brad fan (and I am very proud to say I am one) will tell you that he has often talked of loving archetecture and, despite what many tabloids will print, has talked of wanting to help others, even before he and Angelina got together. So why must some of you be so negative? Are you planning your own rebuilding project and are afraid that Brad's will get in the way? Are you planning on donating thousands of dollars to Katrina victims and feel that Brad's generosity is unnecessary because of it? It's unfathomable to me that anyone could possibly condemn a person for trying to do a good deed; as long as that deed gets done, why question the motive? I firmly believe 100% that Brad is doing this because he wants to help people. If you believe otherwise, I suppose it's your right, but I would seriously question whether you think that because the competition seems suspicious or useless, or because you're still bitter about the whole Brad/Jen divorce and subsequent Brad/Angie hook up. But that's all I'm gonna say on that. I am extremely proud of Brad for doing this project and I wish him all the best with it.

No one is staying in NO East which you now is where all of our AA people lived and the workers who get min. wage or maybe $1-2 dollars more than min. The city and companies want the people to come back but no where to live, can't get FEMA trailer when needed...which is now. Hotels are telling people they need to vacate because the city wants to house the tourist instead of the people who are here to rebuild the city...oh you can stay in a hotel but what average joe for NOEast can pay $199+ a night to rebuild their homes. I know we have to get the tourist in the city to bring some kind of revenue...but there's no place for the people to live to get things started. I had a guy from my hotel who finally got his trailer but could not get water/lights...so what good is the trailer if they don't have water/lights. The the electric company wants to charge the residence since Aug 2005 for bills when people have not live here snce then...they want thousands of dollars or the lights won't be turned on...so imagine trying to pay that, rent an apartment along with other bills on a salary of $8/hour (and that's being generous). I make $45K/yr and I'm struggling with my bills. You can't get any help from Gov....AT ALL. So I'm trying my best so I know how someone making $20K feels. It's a mess.

my family's house is in n.o. east--we're not poor, but we're not independently wealthy, either. i hear that the houses must be raised 3 to 8 feet and that the estimated cost of that is at least $40k on top of everything else rebuilding will cost. some of my family have returned and have trailers, but must stay in hotels because of the water/electricity issue. it's truly, truly sad. i think this part is worse than the hurricane. i had hoped that the city would galvanize and have the spirit of lethargy broken, but i guess now it's "laissez les mavais temps roule!"

Jared for the pix and interview. Great to see and hear about Brad's
new endeavour. That man is revealing that there is more and

more depth to him since moving on with his life with AJ. He should

who obviously have the intelligence level of a nit, and cannot fully

comprehend what his interview explains, re rebuilding in New
Orleans. Posting the statements of disgruntled photographers
who have been thwarted in their pursuit of getting photos of this

family in Namibia, bears absolutely no weight in their rediculous

reasoning that BP is only doing this as a PR stunt. BTW, African

Girl is not the only one in awe of BP. There are countless others, all

over the globe, like myself, who have traveled and experienced life

in many countries, and cultures, and not afraid to broaden our

minds with real facts, not just from those supermarket tabloids.

Tearing down someone who is trying to do some good in this

world shows a very flawed character, someone who is weak, and

cowardly, hiding behind a facade of a bully. Anyway, it's good to be

back, and glad that AJ did not have that precious one while I was

Re New Orleans: I have a cyberfriend who moved there just months before Katrina. She bought a house in the 9th ward at city auction. She moved down there from Mass. and put all her things in storage. She was working on rehabbing this lovely old house. Then Katrina struck. She and her pet got out alive. That's what she came back to town with. ALL of her antiques, first editions, autographed books, memorbilia etc. was lost in the flood. Her stuff was on the first floor of a warehouse. Now, compared to some, she was lucky. Her house was already raised, so not a lot of floor damage. However, plywood blew off the windows and the rain got in ruining all the hard work she had done. She had been staying in a rented room, because there was no plumbing/electricity available where her house is. Then, they raised the rent to 4x what she was paying. Now she is living in her house, with one light, barely working plumbing. She is one of two people who have moved back into her neighborhood. Most of the rest were renters. Landlords don't seem to be rebuilding. The streets are piled mountain high with rubble. As HE ignored it when they asked for levy repairs, as HE ignored it during Katrina, GWB ignores it now. If people like Brad don't give a damn and try SOMETHING...who will? You gonna sell your homes and build down there? I'm sure as heck not - even if I could stand the humidity! The landlord "class" sure isn't. I Thank the Gods and Goddessess there are people like Brad Pitt who give a damn.

These boards are so funny with the level of passion that comes out for or against people they know nothing about. Sure we have press reports but until you meet someone personally and are around them none of their actions that we find out through the media give you the whole picture. PAPARAZZI lurking at Langstrand in the hope of snatching lucrative photographs of Hollywood golden couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are beginning to feel the wrath of the Namibian authorities.

Police officers descended on the beach resort yesterday to flush out foreign photographers who are not in possession of the necessary work permits.

They went to at least two houses in a complex adjacent to the Burning Shore lodge where the celebrity couple are staying, searching for photographers or photographic equipment.

When asked by The Namibian about the actions of the Police, regional Police Commissioner Andrew Iyambo said those residents interrogated by officers were "identified as people who are harassing others".

When asked who had made the complaints of harassment, Iyambo said the media had no business complaining and immediately disconnected the call.

It was reported earlier that the Hollywood stars' privacy had been guaranteed by Iyambo and security would be enforced.

Jolie is reported to be eight months pregnant.

The baby is said be due in mid-May.

According to Wilma Deetlefs of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Windhoek, quoted in an earlier Associated Press report, foreign photographers are required by law to be in possession of temporary work permits when entering the country.

When asked whether he himself had a work permit, the chief of the Jolie-Pitt security team, Mickey Brett, said he didn't need one because he was in Namibia on holiday.

Meanwhile, the public jetty at Langstrand and the upper deck of the popular Langstrand Restaurant have been cordoned off.

A high fence of shade netting has been erected around the Burning Shore lodge.

Geesh....another hypocrite! Please don't preach to me...how do you know the security detail is excessive...are you there in Namibia? The Namibia government is working side by side to protect this family life... The media put out a 5 (US)million dollar bounty on their head...and with so much money put out there, people can get hurt. Also there are criminals living everywhere and they might get the bright idea to harm them for money.....so they,re doing what they have to do to keep everyone safe.

What a great post. My mother has friends who live in Johnnesburg all their lives, and both mirror your account in so many ways. I can't wait for BP to start the promo/interview process for not only this movie, but Jesse James. I really think the later is going to be vey good. I just have this feeling, and after I read that BP's Jesse James is not in the romantic/hero vein like some protrayals in the past, but a really nasty, mean, more true to history turn. I'm excited.

i was never a really big fan of bp. i liked legends of the fall, but only because he ended up with elizabeth II--i didn't like julia ormond's character... anyway, i didn't really respect him as an actor until fight club and then snatch. i didn't find him sexy until he hooked up with aj. now, since i'm a fan of hers, i'm learning all sorts of things about him i find admirable. and i'm really happy that he's doing something to help new orleans. that city is so important to american history and the economy. it should at least be liveable again.

the new movies look great. i don't know if i'll go see jesse james, but i think i'll be in the theater for babel.

First Fight Club then Snatch. These were the two movies that made me notice BP. I never saw legends of the fall, Meet Joe Black, Seven Years in Tibet. I saw Seven but thought it was more of a Morgan Freeman movie. Then there was the one with Harrison Ford (I think) where he was an irish assassin, again I didn't really see him as the main character. I loved him in snatch, even though I could barely understand what he was saying...had to be it on caption (lol). After Snatch I got Fight Club and the fact he was with Edward Norton (like him a lot. Primal Fear anyone?) even made it better. I guess I like him looking all rough around the edges....except Ocean's 11. I found his potrayal of the character very on spot. The "I'm here but I'm not" attitude. I loved that one scene where George Clooney had just made the BIG speach, the both walk into the elevator and BP's character says "you've been working on that haven't you?" GC turns to him and goes "did I rush it?" and BP says "oh no, you did fine" (yeah, I saw that movie many, many times.) Anyway, that scene cracks me up, maybe because it is so real. Now Oceans 12.....let's move on. I am keeping my fingers crossed for for 13. Now this movie...I am definately going to see (the rough around the edges factor at play again).

This may sound strange, but I always liked him better than his movies. He always has given me a vibe of being a geniunely nice, caring, sincere and just real man, and not until Fight Club did I really look at him as an actor "actor"...make sense?
Always liked AJ's honesty, unpretentiousness, plain-spokeness even if shocked me sometimes, and Ironically just like with BP, up until I saw "Girl Interrupted", I liked her better than anything I had seen her in. After she adopted Maddox she really had me because of her almost overnight transformation based on the love for that kid. And then her plunge into her UN work, and the devotion to helping others just made me admire her more. Ok, not in a million years would I have ever put BP/AJ together, but honestly, from that very first time I heard a rumor, it just hit me like a ton of bricks that "in another life they would have been perfect for each other." I guess they thought so too lol. I think she inspires him to explore his dreams, and vice versa. I won't be presumptious and suggest that the man wouldn't be doing half of what he is when it comes to helping others, but I can't rule it out either since I can't ever remember him being so vocal, and hands on prior to being with her, and that's maybe because now they both have someone in their lives who understands where each is coming from. I even read this week that they now share a consultant regarding their philanthropic concerns and to me thats a darn sure sign that they're on the same page.

I just recently saw Meet Joe Black, and I thought it was just long. I'm one of those people who will watch a movie again just to be fair, but i think once was enough for that one. Have yet to see either of the Oceans, but I think I will be checking them at prior to the new one coming out. It took me three days to see that movie to the end. I kept on stopping it just to get away from it. On the third day, I fianally forced myself to complete it. This was not some made up story...it was a true story. Don Chedle gave a wonderful performance.

Stef: Last year, the history teacher who's class I was pushing into showed Rwanda. It took us a couple days to watch it. I was in TEARS! Luckily, it was toward the end of the year, so the kids didn't think I was too nuts - they already KNEW it! It is events like that which leave me in despair of the whole human race. For today's version, you don't have to even pick just one! This is one of the many reasons I admire Brad and Angelina. THEY and people like BONO have made the CHOICE to make this a better world. No one would think any less of them if they didn't - it takes a special person to do what they and others do. Even back to Live Aid [the first one] I admire anyone who sees a problem and tries his/her best to be a PART of the solution. No one can solve these problems on their own, but, every little bit of aid, publicity, etc. helps.

As someone mentioned earlier, Brad Pitt is a very talented actor, but he doesn't get enough credit (maybe because of his "pretty boy" image) but personally, I thought he was wonderful in Legends of the Fall, and I absolutely love that movie! I can't understand why people slam it (if people actually sit down and watch it, instead of jumping on the bandwagon and trashing it...) but I digress.

Another movie that is absolutely fabulous as well is Spy Game. Great movie, great performances all around. Also, Brad was brilliant in Se7en, my favorite scene is at the end when Brad's character is trying to get Morgan Freeman's character to tell him "what's in the box!?!" Pitch perfect performance; the way he was so frantic and distressed and then when he finds out whats in it (don't want to ruin it for those who might not have seen it), his reaction is fantastic; you can just see him wrestling with his rage and grief, the emotions were so real---I always get teary eyed there (don't judge me!). Well, I hope I won't get trashed now that I have revealed my keen interest in Mr. William Bradley Pitt, but I just wanted to praise him and his movie work, because it isn't recognized enough.

After reading it I was seriously impressed because although I knew he'd done a few things, and I didn't know that he's been a regular/consistant donor to the National Negro College Fund for over 10yrs. All celebrities are involved in some kind of charity work or other. It's a part of their job. I would venture that many of them are in fact far more involved than brad, or angelina even, but don't make as much of a fuss about it.

The fact is, brad has a weak personality and it has been well observed over the years now that he does indeed 'morph' himself into the personas of the girls he's with. This is a widely held and fully established perception of him. When the general public feels or senses something about someone it is because it is true. He simply is and comes off as a very weak man with not much intelligence and not much personality.

Babel seems to be a movie I will see as well as JJ and the Good S. I have been an AJ fan since Gia, and a BP fan since Legends of the Fall. They appear to provide balance and to support one another. BP now seems more publicly involved in causes he supports (I understand he has already funded his NO effort-hope other celebs sign on), and AJ seems so happy to finally have a partner who supports her strong "mothering" of their family-the ying and the yang. Both AJ and BP have always been underated as actors because many people only look at their exterior appearances, and think "beauty but no brains". I just can't understand why people don't mind their own business and leave BP and AJ alone. They are just getting on with their lives, doing the best they can, raising children together. What is so wrong with that? Why are some people so unhappy and angry with this family? Why say truly vile things about them? I see why they have all the security around them. Marriages break up everyday, but strong marriages survive because the spouses weather all the ups/downs together. BP and JA were not meant to be married any longer. The "Golden Couple" was hyped to the public by publicists/tabloids who made money off that illusion. AJ has always been real. Now the real BP re-emerges, the way he was before the "Golden Couple". He acts like a "MAN" who is happy with himself and his life. BAMZ+1 is a family, not a false "golden family" but a REAL FAMILY like many that I see everyday. A REAL FAMILY that is seldom separated. I remember seeing pixs of BP arriving back in Malibu from Canada on Dec 11th, and the family went that same day to get a Christmas tree. BP has since Dec 11th spent 2 days in NY and 4 days in DR, only 6 days have BP and AJ been apart since Dec 11th. Both possess the ability to leave the other at anytime, but they haven't. Looks like strong bonds of love and major commitment to each other exist between AJ and BP.

It seems as though Brad has got himself involved with another movie project, tentatively due out in 2008. According to imdb.com, the film will be titled "Dallas Buyer's Club" and will see Brad playing a man diagnosed with full blown AIDS.

Here's a synopsis:
Told to "go home and die" after developing full-blown AIDS in 1986, electrician Ron Woodroof delves into the world of underground pharmacies that supply HIV drugs not approved for use in the U.S. in an attempt to prolong his life, and, ultimately, the lives of thousands of other people.

This movie sounds really promising and I can't wait for it to come out. Damn, it'll really be interesting to see Brad take on such a difficult role.

Zeta-Jones, the only Brit in the list, has beaten out competition from fellow movie beauties Nicole Kidman, in third place, and Gwyneth Paltrow, in fifth.

The top ten, compiled by advertising industry magazine AdWeek, sees Hollywood golden couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt both raking in cash through promotional campaigns with luxury clothing label St. John and Heineken beer, respectively.

Well, more or less calm tonight. Of course, we will always have the "ignorant" with us. FYI, Brad was 2 credits away from a journalism career when he took off for Hollywood [and I bet his parents were having a fit too!]. I've never read a single bad word [except from X] about this guy. That says a lot to me. He's also been smart enough to make himself into one of the most in demand actors at the current time - as a matter of fact, he's probably feeling a little too "in demand" lately. He seems to know himself fairly well, and has been articulate in stating what it is he wants. If he had one flaw, it's probably that he's too soft toward women. He appears to have given JA every chance in the world, and MAY even be on hand to help her get her "career" off with the "Senator's Wife".

As to using their kids for PR - HUH? It seems like they've done everything they can to keep their kids out of it! What do you think the desire for privacy comes from? What are they supposed to do? Live in a bubble?

It always amazes me when people see what I see and take away a totally different meaning. I see Brad and Angelina in sunglasses, and later on see a video showing the walk through the airport. Well, NOW I know why they wear them! The flashes were going off at a rediculous rate! I'd probably have glasses on the kids too! I understand why they look fed up. Others complain that they aren't being "entertaning" enough. Well heck! This is their PRIVATE life we're intruding on! I applaud them for not taking turns hitting the razzis!

It is often said that Brad just morphs into his partners and has a weak personality--he's a follower. Well, there have been changes in Angie's behavior that tells me that he does have influence and isn't merely an automaton. Prior to Angie being with Brad she was generally quite open about her private life--that was kind of her hallmark. She was very candid. Brad was never that open, he was generally pretty guarded. Now that Angie is with Brad, she isn't forthcoming about this relationship at all. When she was with Billy Bob she was makin' out with him on the red carpet. With Brad it's all denial, denial, and when they couldn't deny anymore, it's silence. This seems to me like Angie is following Brad's lead here. I mean now they have the government of an entire country protecting their privacy, so it doesn't sound like we'll be hearing any stories of swapping blood vials anytime soon.

He may change his look (a lot of times it's for movie roles, though) but that doesn't mean he has no impact on his partners. I imagine he has impact on them in ways we will never know because we don't see many aspects of their lives.

I think over the past few months it's been pretty well documented that Brad has taken on their security. I expect he's tearing what little hair Angelina left on his head out trying to figure out a place for them to be ALONE until the baby comes. Honestly, this should be such a happy time for all of them. I read someplace or other today that the green screen cuts off their view of the ocean!

I also think a lot of Angelina's openess was youth. I would think she'd be more cautious just because now she has kids, and she wouldn't want what she said to have a bad effect on them sometime in the future.

Aniston now has 'Friends With Money'

Jennifer Aniston doesn't seem to be venturing too far from her middle-class TV "Friends" to the world of "Friends with Money."

Rachel, her indelible sitcom character, has morphed into Olivia, the only one of four lifelong middle-aged gal pals who has no mate or successful career.

Aniston as Olivia, a former teacher who is now cleaning houses, is a mellow (sometimes downbeat) pot-smoker hooked on a married man.

Olivia may not be as likable as Rachel, but she is cut from the same cloth. Indeed, she could be the older sister of her character in "The Good Girl," the 2002 film in which she played a depressed, pot-smoking 30-year-old wife who takes up with a younger co-worker (Jake Gyllenhaal).

Though Aniston did a fine job in that film, lately she seems to be having a harder time finding the right role for her talents.

Her choices have been dicey.

In the past year she has starred in bombs like "Rumor Has It" and "Derailed." Before that, she had unmemorable parts in mediocre films like "Along Came Polly," "Bruce Almighty" and "Rock Star." It remains to be seen if her chemistry with Vince Vaughn in "The Break-up" -- opening in June -- will enable her to carve out a new life on the big screen.

Meanwhile, it's her co-stars who shine in writer-director Nicole Holofcener's witty ensemble comedy. Holofcener, who made "Lovely and Amazing" and "Walking and Talking," has a keen eye for the nuances of female friendships as well as for the tenuous comfort of financial stability. Her focus is trained squarely on the world of white, wealthy Southern Californians and she captures their milieu astutely.

Frances McDormand is excellent as a neurotic clothing designer and mother. She takes her part and makes it the most multi-faceted of all. She comes across alternatively as intelligent, thoughtful and frighteningly unhinged. Catherine Keener is also strong as a screenwriter whose marriage to her writing partner, played by Jason Isaacs, is splintering in the midst of their elaborate home remodel. Joan Cusack plays the third friend and the wealthiest, but the under-developed role doesn't tap her quirky humor.

The men are intended to take the backseat, but Simon McBurney, as McDormand's husband of murky sexuality, is as compelling as any of the women. His tentative search for connection outside of marriage is poignant and intriguing.

It's a likable film with some funny moments and recognizable human conflicts. But, the origin of the women's friendship is not explained, and the nature of Olivia's problems are not examined or taken very seriously, making her seem inexplicably lost and shallow.

Sharply observed and cleverly written, in the end it is also a bit superficial, like its characters' lives.

Rated R for language, some sexual content and brief drug use.

Last night the official selection was announced for the Cannes Film Festival. Characterised by the organisers as a "renewal year", 2006 does welcome a few new filmmakers to its very exclusive members club, while rewarding loyal regulars with coveted competition slots.

Wong Kar-Wai will preside over this year's jury, which features the usual mix of international actors (Monica Bellucci, Zhang Ziyi, Helena Bonham Carter, Samuel L. Jackson, Tim Roth) and directors (Patrice Leconte, Lucrecia Martel, Elia Suleiman), but this year excludes academics, producers or writers.

The Caméra d'Or jury (Best First Feature) will be presided over by Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne, double Palme D'Or-winners for Rosetta and The Child.

The official selection is made up of 55 films (including a mind-boggling 48 world premieres) representing 30 countries. However only 20 of these are in competition for the Palme D'Or.

The Festival opens with the dreaded adaptation of the over-rated and over-read The Da Vinci Code, from the Bland-and-Blander team of Tom Hanks and Ron Howard. The out-of-competition Cannes opener is usually a star-filled, paparazzi-baiting affair and is rarely taken seriously.

Not so the Official Competition. Once again, some of the world's most respected auteurs return: 2006 sees eagerly awaited new films from Nanni Moretti (Golden Palm in 2001 with The Son's Room), Aki Kaurismäki (Grand Prix 2002 for The Man Without a Past) and Ken Loach (Prize for Best Script in 2002 with Sweet Sixteen). At 30, Kelly will be the youngest director in the 2006 competition.

Brad Pitt's fan base is so huge internationallly. Thanks for this information. This means that Gross BO and DVD Sales and Rental would combine for a total of $628 million dollars worldwide. And this is only as of the 1st of January. This does not take account the last 3 months of contant media attention since the announcement of the pregnancy. Also, as mentioned earlier the new unrated MAMS will be released June 6th and should contributed significantly to the overall gross.

BP/AJ involvement in so many humanitarian projects even during her pregnancy is truly great.His NO project will boost the rebuilding and restoration of the city.No secret about his passion for architecture /design. He will get enormous support . Also upcoming architects/designer will have a chance to showcase their talent. Some people think brad should do more like H. Connick jr. I'm an avid moviegoer and am always willing to pluck down my $10 for a movie that I think will be decent. I have to say, though, that its been a long time since I saw a movie I thought was great and worth the $10. That's what I'm loving so much about Brad right now. He's seems sincerely committed to finding quality projects for Plan B and also committed to starring in quality movies in the future. He truly loves film, maybe he will save the movie industry yet. Keep up the good work, Brad.

On a side note, Michael Douglas's new movie, The Sentinel, received a one star review in our local paper, sounds like it might be a real bomb. He probably won't be making any more Brad and Angelina comments anytime soon.

Namibian authorities are clamping down on journalists trying to follow Brad Pitt, pregnant Angelina Jolie and her two adopted children after the couple asked for some privacy, according to a newspaper report Sunday.

South Africa's Sunday Times said the couple's security chief gave a local journalist a statement asking that they be left alone.

"We love Africa and to be here in Namibia with our family is very special for us," the statement said. "To the local people who have been so kind and gracious, thank you for making us feel at home.

"As for the press, we kindly ask for privacy so that we can enjoy this beautiful country with our children."

The statement was signed by both Jolie and Pitt.

The Sunday Times said its own photographer and three French photographers were ordered to leave Namibia or face arrest. Journalists require accreditation to work in the country.

Namibian Prime Minister Nahas Angula defended the move, saying the couple should be left alone.

"This lady is expecting," he told the Sunday Times. "You guys are harassing her. Why don't you allow her some privacy? Harassment is not allowed in Namibia.

"If a person says they don't want to be photographed then, of course, that person deserves protection."

The couple and their entourage are staying at the luxury Burning Shores resort hotel between the scenic old colonial German town of Swakopmond and the resort of Walvis Bay, in an area where the desert sand dunes descend spectacularly to the sea.

Despite tight security, photographers have managed to snap images of Hollywood's hottest couple.

The Sunday Times said Jolie and Pitt were spotted last week at a local Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet with her children, Maddox and Zahara, and then went to a pet store to buy a turtle.

A Namibian official said last week that Jolie might have Pitt's baby in the southern African nation.

Jolie, who starred with Pitt in the movie "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," was first in Namibia when filming the movie "Beyond Borders" in 2002.

Namibia, rich in diamonds and strategic metals and home to 1.8 million people, gained independence from neighboring South Africa after a 23-year war in 1990 and has since been ruled by a democratically elected government.

And I often got responses like "probably smells better though" or "at least he bathes".

Sorry, don't really know why, but there seems to be a lot of people in America at least who have had the idea that Brad Pitt isn't conscientious about hygiene for a long time. Don't know where that got it's start, but it definitely wasn't just from his recent wearing of the same old hat and boots. And it wasn't a rumor started by Jen A.

Someone told me that Brad himself started it by saying he didn't like to bathe everyday. I'm sure you can all waste a whole of lot of time now looking up, and maybe even proving that what he said was taken out of context. Have at it. My point is that these types of rumors are floated about alot of stars but this one is being used about Brad because of some peoples preception of why Brad got divorce. If someday C Farrell gets on the bad end of some haters they could use the same trash on him. Basically what I am saying is this should be disreagarded by clear thinking people.

The "bad hygiene" nonsense started in COSMO magazine back in the early 90's when Brad was dating Juliette Lewis. The lived a very bohemian/hippie lifestyle, and he probably didn't have "good hygiene" at the time.

cigs are banned in bars, restaurants and clubs in toronto and starting june the same all over ontario. the only place where it might be allowed is possibly a "social club."

I'm with you. I live in NYC and it's Popeye's all the way here. Practically all the KFC shops have closed but new Popeyes keep opening up. Eating there is another way to support a New Orleans company. I'm very against going to a foreign country and looking for something "American" to eat. Not my style. Do as the natives do, is my motto. But I guess the Jolie-Pitt crew are playing it safe so as to not get sick.

Lot's of posts are potpurri I've noticed so here's mine. Off Topic- Leo DiCaprio had slight injuries while filming "THE BLOOD DIAMOND" in the former Portuguese colony, Mozambique and in South Africa. Turns out he's gonna be fine. It's a closed set and they are filming in some very dangerous areas in SA.

I hope filmaking picks up in South Africa. There are so many talented and capable people who can give life to this industry in that country. I saw Tsotsi and predicted that it would win Best Foreign Film at the Academy Awards. So much talent in South Africa.

i'll try anything at least once, with the exception of bugs, rats, and monkey brain. so when i'm in a foreign country i like to eat their food, but what i also do, is try a macdonalds. it's great. they're all a little different.

you would pee your pants if you saw an african soap! they could be good if there was money, but as we know the money goes to other areas. but i do agree there is so much talent! my family are upooting and moving to south africa, acting is my field and what i am studing, i cant move with them because the work is not what is needed so im having to stay here, and travel around to start out.

so far i like the filet-o-fish (which is my favorite thing to eat there) in england. although it has been a while.

oh yeah, the mc chicken sandwich is good, but after a night of drinking the best resolve is a big mac! yum!

where i live in england we have the best seafront, with award winning seafood, oh nothing live crab sticks and cockles on a sunday morning! chinese is good, i dont suppose you have tried a donna kebab? oh its the very british 3am food, its foul, yet it always tastes so good, i could never eat it sober! eerr!

i've never been to donna kebab...this is a chinese place? it's been a very long time since i've been to england, although i might be going there this summer, so if it's in london, i'll be sure to check it out. personally, i think people should cook with lard. it makes the food taste better! ;p

very open minded of you, but i must say that it can ruin a good friendship....sigh...such complications this thing called relationships. my advice, if you think it might go somewhere, never do it (date two people at once). not a good idea.

sorry i gotta laugh, a donna kebab is turkish food. its really dodgy, only eat it when tanked up! but it is what we brits do on a sat night at 3 am stand outside the kabab shop after shouting to make sure they cover it with burger sauce! what it is: its a pita bread with the mankiest lamb on a huge spit it is cooked then carved off and put in your pita with salad and the sauce is the secret! it is the perfect end to a very pissed night! lol
f you do fancy one and your out ask the barman which is the best.
if you like to try different things go for it, it tastes like minted lamb, well thats what i say when hammered!
oh there will be many kabab takeaways im sure your see them, there is about a million in london! sad thats what our culture is!lol
