Get Up, Channing

New promos for 26-year-old actor/model Channing Tatum's upcoming rom-com Step Up co-starring dancer/actress Jenna Dewan. The dance flick will be out in theaters nationwide on August 11th with the soundtrack arriving three days earlier.  Ciara, Kelis, Sean Paul, and Chris Brown will be featured on the Step Up soundtrack. Kayne Kills It

Congratulations to Kayne Gillaspie for winning last night's "Miss USA" competition on last night's episode of Project Runway. Designers had to create an evening gown for Miss USA, the gorgeous Tara Conner of Kentucky. Tara will wear this gown at the Miss Universe pageant this Sunday, which will air on NBC.  The dress (pictured above) was far and beyond what any of the other designers created... but we'll see what Kayne pulls out of the hat outside of designing for the pageant world next week. I was INCREDIBLY SAD to see Malan Breton pack his sewing kit and go home for designing the "Keebler elf tree."  Malan was incredibly creepy (and dorky) but seemed extremely talented.  His designs were intricate, so I would have loved to see his performance in at least a couple more of the challenges.  BOO JUDGES.  BOO!!!!!! THEY SHOULDA AUF'D ALLISON-IMEAN-ANGELA!

The Private Life of Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake, 25, tells GQ Magazine of his infatuation with Britney Spears in their August 2006 issue: "I was in love with her from the start.  I was infatuated with her from the moment I saw her... When we initially parted ways I felt like she had a couple of opportunities to just sort of stick up for me, and she didn't.  Which is fine. But at that time, you know, I fought back...  I wish her well, and I want to see her win.  I don't think you can ever count somebody like her out. Because she may appear one way, but she's very clever."  On Justin's "adult" relationship with 33-year-old Cameron Diaz: "For me, this time around it's been important to stay, at least as much as I can, out of the limelight.  And I think that's made it more enriching. I've received so much more from it by keeping it just between the two people it's supposed to be between.  There's no pretense about anything. It's just a sort of coming together of two people." Heroes to Save NBC

Big buzz is surrounding Heroes, which debuts this fall on Mondays at 9ET/PT.  Heroes chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover that they possess extraordinary abilities.  Here's the cast (L2R, T2B): Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura, Ali Larter as Niki Sanders, Noah Gray-Cabey as Micah Sanders, Leonard Roberts as D.L Hawkins, Milo Ventimiglia as Peter Petrelli, Adrian Pasdar as Nathan Petrelli, Hayden Panettiere as Claire Bennet, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Mohinder Suresh, Greg Grunberg as Matt Parkman, Santiago Cabrera as Isaac Mendez, and Tawny Cypress as Simone Deveraux.  

As a total eclipse casts it shadow across the globe, we follow a genetics professor (Ramamurthy) in India whose father’s disappearance leads him to uncover a secret theory — there are people with super powers living among us. A young dreamer (Ventimiglia) tries to convince his politician brother (Pasdar) that he can fly. A high school cheerleader (Panettiere) learns that she is totally indestructible. A Las Vegas stripper (Larter), trying to make ends meet to support her young son (Gray-Cabey), uncovers that her mirror image has a secret. A prison inmate (Roberts) mysteriously finds himself waking up outside of his cell. A gifted artist (Cabrera), whose drug addiction is destroying his life and the relationship with his girlfriend (Cypress), can paint the future. A down-on-his-luck Los Angeles beat cop (Grunberg) can hear peoples’ thoughts, which puts him on the trail of an elusive serial killer. Simpson's Starvation Streak

ASHLEE'S PJ PARTY -- The World's Largest Pajama Party was held at the Victoria's Secret Pink Lounge with host Ashlee Simpson last night. Held at Pier 54, one of NYC's largest outdoor spaces, the bash celebrated the launch of Victoria's Secret Pink's new loungewear collection, which includes undergarments, sleepwear and accessories. The area was transformed into a lush party atmosphere with pink fleece blankets, oversized stuffed dogs and plush sofas and chairs with Pink signature throw pillows.  The night featured a performance by a glammed-out Ashlee as she took the stage around nine o'clock to rock the pajama-clad crowd. The party also included a screening of the '80s classic, 'Pretty in Pink.'

GAHHHHH!!!!!!!!  HOLY STARVATION, BATMAN!  Is my girl Ashlee Simpson starving herself?!  Her ribcage is beginning to show!  Those shoulder blades!  Those rail-thin arms!  EEP!  More pictures in the gallery... cute performance outfit.

Surf's Up, Simpson!

As announced earlier this week, stand-up comedian Dane Cook and Jessica Simpson  will host the Teen Choice Awards 2006 live on Sunday, August 20 @ 8PM ET/PT on FOX. Kevin Federline is set to close the show, performing his single "Lose Control" for the first time on network television. Yesterday afternoon, Jessica made an appearance on MTV's Total Request Live show at the MTV Times Square Studios to debut her "A Public Affair" music video.  More pictures in the gallery including random Jessica candids from this past week.

Janet's Kinky Kimono

Janet Jackson (in a specially designed kimono and nine-inch platform heels) got video-ready with extra workouts with trainer Tony Martinez.  "I still want to do a little bit more toning," she said.  "I like myself best when I'm preparing for a tour, 'cause I'm a lot more fit." 

With five wardrobe changes in all, "we pushed it as far as we could go," says make-up artist Fran Cooper.  "We tried to get a goddess feel." ... Her metal corset (top right) was inspired by the African Masal tribe.  "The sway of my back has always been the body part that I've liked the most," Jackson said. ...Famed director Hype Williams (bottom right, with Jackson, Nelly, and Jackson's beau, producer Jermaine Dupri) has also worked with Jessica Simpson and Mary J. Blige.  "We wanted it to feel like we were painting a beautiful picture," Williams said. 

The theme is a blend of live action and animation, the videp is inspired by the children's classic Aestop's Fables.  "It's a lot of fun and whimsical," says Jackson.  Janet Jackon's "Call On Me" music video will debut on BET's "Access Granted" on Wednesday, July 26th.

POOF! POOF! VANISHED!

  Yes. I’m finally getting remarried…it’s been a whirlwind…spontaneous but well thought through. Feels like I’ve been stuck in a time warp. Not able to let go of MY family picture…it’s been sad and lonely and frustrating….I’ve raised my kids alone in hope of a miracle. Well my miracle came and went. And came back and came back because he knew that I’d wake up one day and realize that I was waiting for nothing. I’m moving on…I feel like I’m finally free….I’m in love. I’m happy….I see the light…sounds dramatic but it’s true…..I know some women can relate to this….My children are getting older. They know the truth and they are strong, smart kids.
