Kate & Ryder Splish Splash

Hollywood beauty Kate Hudson and two year-old son Ryder Robinson cooled off with a dip in the ocean along the renowned Malibu shoreline yesterday morning. Kate returned to the states a few days ago after promoting her new film You, Me and Dupree with co-star Owen Wilson at the Australia premiere in Melbourne.  More pictures in the gallery including Kate (looking very well styled) leaving Hugo's Pizza Restaurant this past Monday in Kings Cross, Sydney!

Brad & Angie's Wildlife Experience

Here's some old news that's just turned up.  Brad Pitt and then pregnant Angelina Jolie (holding a napping baby Zahara in her arms) made a trip to the Harnas Wildlife Foundation during their stay in Namibia. Above is a beautiful Pitt family photo with Harnas staff and friends. Friend Marianne Pearl and her son are on the bottom right.  Angelina's chief bodyguard Mickey Brett on the left.

HWF is a charitable organization dedicated to saving endangered wild animals in Namibia. On their official website, the staff released a statement showing their appreciation for Angelina: "We would like to thank our patron Angelina Jolie for her support!"

Kevin Federline Steps Out

K-fed wants to start his own magazine called The Real: "I've actually thought about coming out with a magazine that comes out after all the tabloids … telling the truth." Haylie's Hair-raising Debut

Haylie Duff (pictured with the bouffant wig) started her run on Broadway last night in Hairspray as the snotty Amber Von Tussle.  Aaron Tveit also started performances yesterday as the fellow nicest kid in town Link Larkin.  Haylie, 21, sister Hilary, and the rest of the Hairspray cast celebrated the night away at The Palm West restaurant. The Palm's GM Chris Gilman said, "Haylie was delightful ... and a most welcomed addition to our Broadway community."    More pictures in the gallery! 

UPDATE :: I had the whole "Haylie Duff Experience" last night.  I ate at The Palm West restaurant (Audrey and I shared the 5 lb. lobster and it was AMAZING) and got to see Hairspray again.  Amazing as usual. I listen to the soundtrack all the time, so I sang along this time.  And if I was allowed to stand in the aisles, I would have danced all of the choreography too.  Haylie did a medicore job filling the role of Amber... the dancing definitely needed a lot more work. On a side note,  I really missed Diana DeGarmo in the role of Penny Pingleton...  Caissie Levy didn't seem as gawky to me.  Anyway, buy your tickets now or wait until Diana returns on September 8th.

Watts Up, Pup?

The Painted Veil is a love story set in the 1920s based on the classic novel by W. Somerset Maugham. It tells the story of a young English couple (a middle class doctor and an upper-class woman) who get married for the wrong reasons and relocate to Shanghai, where she is lured into an affair. When he uncovers the truth, he takes her into the heart of ancient China to confront a deadly epidemic, which is likely to kill them both. But what starts out as a fit of revenge takes an unexpected turn toward purpose and passion in one of the most remote and beautiful places on earth.

The Painted Veil stars Naomi Watts, Edward Norton, and real-life beau Liev Schreiber. The film is set for a Fall 2006 release and is directed by John Curran. Movie stills in the gallery! In Crank, Jason Statham plays a professional killer who has been poisoned and must keep his adrenaline going in order to stay alive.  Needless to say, the film includes gratuitous drugs, sex, and violence.  And boy, loads of expletives.  Listen to the audio clip with YouTube below, it's wildly ridiculous.  Somebody count how many times he curses! Gwen Lives in Promiscuity Hill

Primrose Hill is fast becoming the British Beverly Hills, according to Forbes.  Its website even offers a slide show featuring the British homes of America's A-listers including Primrose Hill's Gwen Stefani and Belsize Park's Gywneth Paltrow.

The area has become synonymous with a so-called Primrose Hill party set including actress Sadie Frost and her ex-husband Jude Law but pundit Mr. McCririck said he certainly was not aware of any shenanigans. He added: "It's known as Promiscuity Hill - I only wish I was part of any orgy. I don't know where they are taking place."

Ryan Rankine and Allison Holker were eliminated from last night's results show of So You Think You Can Dance.  Busta Rhymes performed "I Love My Chick" off his latest album "The Big Bang." • American Idol judge Simon Cowell has been caught cheating on Terri Seymour, his girlfriend of four years, with model Jasmine Lennard. Britain's Daily Mirror spotted Lennard entering Cowell's townhouse late Tuesday night and said she took off her fur coat to reveal lacy lingerie. The model was photographed leaving a few hours later. The affair has been going on for six months, according to the paper.
• American Idol's  Taylor Hicks, Katherine McPhee, and the rest of last season's Top 10 are visiting with President Bush at the White House today.  They are the first contestants from the hit show to be invited to the White House.
