Brad & Angelina do New Orleans
Brad Pitt announced the winners (New York city architects Andrew Kotchen and Matthew Berman, of the firm Workshop/APD) of his architectural design competition at a news conference in New Orleans earlier on today. Brad worked with Global Green USA in hopes of creating the environmentally friendly housing in a redevelopment project in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, a neighborhood hard hit by Hurricane Katrina.Brad shared this at the news conference: "I am appalled and embarrassed that residents still do not have the opportunity ... to decide if they want to get back into their neighborhoods and recreate their communities... [But] I'm very, very excited about the result. There are a lot of great ideas that came across the table."
Brad was accompanied by his family -- Angelina Jolie, Maddox, Zahara, and Shiloh (not pictured). More pictures in the gallery!

Don't be naive Angelah. So he puts a solar panel in his house? LOL That does not mean he walks the talk. For cryin' out loud didn't they just buty some big private jet. my hope is that this is just the beginning. a lot of my family have returned and they're living in FEMA trailers. a project like this sparks other development and hopefully, my family in trailers will be living in actual houses again soon.
it doesn't matter whether or not you like brad pitt or angelina jolie. what their hair or clothes looks like. the fact is they're helping people who need. that's all that counts--especially to those being helped.
Brad looks hot and Z looks so cute with her little pig tails. Glad that they are doing something worthwhile. The ninth ward was one of the worst areas hit in N.O. Glad to see that the rebuilding process will start there.
