Ivy #137....Brad's movie Babel will be shown on Sept.9th Sat evening at 9:30PM at the Toronto International Film Festival. Expect Brad & maybe the family to be in Toronto before Sept.9. They might attend Bill Clintons birthday bash also in Torono that same night Sept. 9 & also at Matt Damon's ONExONE fundraising party also in Toronto the next night Sept. 10th. So there you go. I have to shake my head sometimes at some of the posts. I don't understand what Madonna's daughter being cute translates into Zahara not being cute (#151) Ummm, there are a lot of cute children. Guess what there can be more than 1. Lourdes and Zahara are both adorable. So is my neighbor's little kid, baby kingston, a little girl I saw downtown yesterday...

The point is why put down the looks of one child just to pump up the other. That is ridiculous.

Refugee Issues
Green Projects

These are some of the ones I'm aware of. I like the way the go about their humanitarian work because they go to the field and actually see what they are spending their money on. Sometimes they put in money gradually as the projects progress which is a smart move compared to the fact that most of us give money to causes and we have no idea of how the money is being spent. They do not give only their money, they put in time and energy.

You're right, Original JPF. People who will try to denigrate a noble
effort to help simply because they don't like who is doing it are not
worth our notice.
I just thought that others might get confused by them so I
wanted to point out that it's not what money he gives, or even the
environmental aspects, but the fact that by putting a contest
together and getting the right people to all work together, he has
spearheaded the building of a dozen multi-family houses, several
single family homes and even tied it into the landscape already
there. That is remarkable -- that is power and influence at work in
a positive way. That's why it's not about a figure he's donated to
fund the contest, it's what he can do beyond writing a check.

I LOVE how Brad and Angie think about the big picture!! They
never just write a check, but instead, they "teach the people HOW
to fish", and truly make an impact.

They really aren't afro puffs. Her hair actually appears to be pretty fine in texture which is rather the norm in Ethiopia. I hope no one tries to convince her parents that the child needs special hair care because it's assumed to be difficult because she's black. Your post just made me think of something on another site where someone said about her needing this and that based on her having "afro puff type hair" and from what I can see from the pictures, her hair care shouldn't require anymore than maybe some lubricant now and than such as baby oil and that's it.

I agree with you. They don't want to know facts, they just want to spew ugly words. Sometimes I wonder what kind of people are these to only see ugliness in others. They don't have to be fans but why the hate? I do know that Brad and Angie must be very strong people to go on and live their lives authentically, not caring about jealous or hate filled people spewing garbage about them. They inspire me in this way. Never be ashamed to walk your walk , people. Be true to yourselves because at the end of the day, that is all you have, your integrity. Sad to say that the haters will move on to someone else to hate.

Why is this woman not smiling when whe is with her kids? I mean, from these pictures it looks like kids are a load for her. She looks unhappy. Especially i don't remember seing a happy picture of her with Zahara. And Shiloh is not in the pictures. Why? Is she protecting Shiloh from camers but not her other children? Or is it because she wants to create the impression that she cares for Zahara and Maddox as much?? Am I the only one thinking this way?

AWWW...they are so cute. It is fun to see Brad age. He reminds me of Robert Redford, who didn't lose his appeal (to me) as he aged.

Even during the awful week and weeks during the Katrina fallout, I was reminded of African countries. All those stranded, desperate African-Americans. It seems fitting that Brad and Angie are there.
