Gwyneth Paltrow covers up in head-to-toe black at the premiere of her new movie, Two Lovers, at the BFI 52nd London Film Festival held at the Odeon West End, Leicester Square on Monday.
The most interesting part of the 36-year-old actress’s look was the furry Felder Felder jacket with leather sleeves. It kind of overshadowed her Salvatore Ferragamo number, a black draped and plissé evening dress, with an asymmetrical bodice and metal gancio detail with black silk satin ribbon (Spring Summer 2009 collection). Gwyn accessorized with Chopard jewels and sandals by Charlotte Olympia for Temperley.
Two Lovers is a Brooklyn-set romantic drama about a bachelor (Joaquin Phoenix) torn between the family friend his parents wish he would marry and his beautiful but volatile new neighbor (Paltrow). The film opens in theaters just in time for Valentine’s day — on February 13!

Millionaire baseball player Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod, and a mystery male take a leisurely stroll through the Upper East Side of Manhattan on Monday morning.
It’s been reported that A-Rod, 33, and Madonna, 50, have a ongoing romantic relationship. Madge and director husband Guy Ritchie officially announced their divorce last week.
UK’s Daily Mail reports A-Rod will buy a $70 million New York penthouse apartment two blocks from Madonna.
As for Madonna and Guy’s divorce settlement, her rep Liz Rosenberg told the AP: “I will not be commenting on the various reports regarding the divorce or of the settlement which has not been finalized.”

On her style icons: “Charlize Theron is always beautiful and feminine. I love her couture looks and dramatic silhouette. Halle Berry is elegant and sophisticated. I love that in the seventies Cher and Diana Ross looked like superstars and never played it safe. When they were onstage, they gave you drama—and I love drama.”
On her designer obsessions: “Alexander McQueen and Jean Paul Gaultier are two designers I love right now. Their clothes are feminine, sexy and modern. I just went to the Giuseppe Zanotti showroom, and he had the most spectacular shoes. It was like being in a candy store—I was obsessed with every shoe! Right now, I love anything with a high platform.”

Former MADtv star Nicole Sullivan is starring in her very own Lifetime original comedy series called Rita Rocks. It premieres with five new episodes airing in a one week strip, beginning TONIGHT, October 20, through Friday, October 25, @ 8:30PM ET/PT.
The 38-year-old actress talked to JustJared.com about her new show, her favorite character on MADtv and Zac Efron’s beautiful face. Here we go…
JJ: I loved you on MADtv, especially as the Vancome Lady. Classic.
NS: And thank you for being patient! Sorry for the wait–there’s a show on Animal Planet called It’s Me or the Dog about a supernanny for dogs. I’ve got like four badly behaved dogs and [I was on the phone with them]. They asked me if I wanted to do the show. I said, “Do I? Yes, please!”
JJ: What are your weekend plans?
NS: Just a little shopping this afternoon. We’ve got a party tonight that I’m going to for (Heroes star) Ali Larter and her fiancee for their engagement party. I’ve gotta find something fancy.

New York Yankees star Derek Jeter and Friday Night Lights actress Minka Kelly enjoy some down time together, watching some NCAA football action with the Texas Longhorns and Missouri Tigers in Austin, Texas on Saturday.
Jeter was booed when he appeared on the stadium’s big-screen television. (The Yankees are out of the playoffs.)
Jeter, 34 and Kelly, 28, were also spotted cozying up together in Austin last Wednesday at the live music club, Momo’s, to listen to soul singer Dan Dyer.
The twosome looked “together and happy,” an onlooker tells People.

Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin gave a roundabout answer to Katie Couric’s question last month about which publications she reads. (Watch video here.)
TMZ did some digging during her stay at the Omni Berkshire Hotel in NYC and found out she received copies of Wall Street Journal, NY Times, New York Post, Daily News, and USA Today. Palin also asked for diet soda, Atkins bars, and skinny white chocolate mochas with absolutely no whip.
While at the hotel, the Alaska governor also used an alias–Tina. Yes, like doppelganger Tina Fey.

Actresses (and Harvard graduates) Natalie Portman and Rashida Jones have one interesting way to solve the global financial crisis.

Natalie, 27, completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Harvard in 2003 and has starred in films such as Garden State, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and V for Vendetta.
Rashida, 32, studied religion and philosophy at Harvard and graduated in 1997. She is best known for her role as Karen Filippelli in The Office.
So how about it America? Puppies.
