Matt Damon: Sarah Palin is “Totally Absurd”

Matt Damon just spoke out on Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin to The Associated Press. The 37-year-old actor compares her possibility of being President to a ‘really bad Disney movie’. Ouch!

Damon shared, “I think there’s a really good chance Sarah Palin could become president, and I think that’s a really scary thing… I don’t know anything about her and in eight weeks, I don’t think I’m going to know anything about her. I know that she was a mayor of a really, really small town and she’s the governor for Alaska for less than two years. I just don’t understand. I think the pick was made for political purposes… Do the actuary tables and there’s a one out of three chance, if not more, that [John] McCain doesn’t survive his first term and it’ll be President Palin… It’s like a really bad Disney movie. The hockey mom, you know, ‘oh, I’m just a hockey mom’… and she’s facing down Vladimir Putin (of Russia)… It’s totally absurd… it’s a really terrifying possibility.”

Jennifer Lopez sits front and center at the Oscar De La Renta Spring 2009 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Wednesday in New York City.

The 39-year-old new mom is rumored to be the secret judge on Project Runway’s season finale, which would tape her appearance during Fashion Week. Friday is the filming date, according to Access Hollywood. Victoria Beckham was last season’s finale celebrity judge.

Miley Cyrus and her backup dancer BFF Mandy Jiroux have released another episode of The Miley and Mandy Show.

This time around, the pair is pushing Miley’s younger sister Noah into the spotlight.

Miley starts off the show, saying, “We are here right now to introduce one of the biggest, upcoming stars in the world. Everybody, let’s introduce Miss Noah Cyrus.”

The 15-year-old Hannah Montana star then goes on to joke about herself, telling Noah, 8, “It must be so hard growing up with a sister in the spotlight and everybody always getting on her case. And the sun never shines on the Cyrus family. What keeps you grounded?”

Miley and Noah’s dad, country superstar Billy Ray Cyrus, also makes a cameo in the vid.

Lauren Conrad and BFF roommate Lauren “Lo” Bosworth sit front row at the Nanette Lepore Spring 2009 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at The Promenade, Bryant Park on Wednesday in New York City.

The Hills star will be at New York City’s Bloomingdales at 59th St. today from 6PM to 8PM to promote her clothing line and do a meet-and-greet.

Lauren also took the time to show her appreciation from her Monday Homecoming Fashion Show. She said, “Thank you to everyone who came out to the Irvine Spectrum last night for my fashion show. On growing up and moving on from being a child actress: “When you spend your entire life as a child actress, being told where to go and where to stand, you’re performing constantly for people. It definitely breeds the kind of person who’s dependent on other people’s approval. If I’d trusted myself and listened to myself all the times that I ignored myself, I would have been fine. But everyone has to learn their lesson, and now I’ve got it.”

On staying mum about seeking treatment for depression at Utah’s Cirque Lodge: “I don’t want to go into too much detail because I give a quote and then it’s blogged about for the rest of my life on the Internet. [But] I’m great.”

On the blogs romantically linking her to Justin Long: “[The rumors] are the funniest thing on planet Earth. I don’t know him from Adam. I met him once and he and his friend were kind enough to walk me home. I’ve never seen him since.”

On having children of her own someday: “I can’t wait to have kids one day. I want to have kids and a farm with lots of animals on a lake.”

She can be seen next playing a celebrity journalist in the comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, out Oct. 3.
