‘New Moon’ Eclipses Box Office Record

The Twilight Saga: New Moon pulled in a massive $26.3 million at North American box offices in midnight showings on Thursday (November 19).

The previous record was set by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which made $22.2 million in midnight screenings when it was released this past July.

The vampire romance movie will rake in a total of around $100 million in its opening weekend. That’s bloody amazing!

JustJared.com went to the NY screening last night and had so much fun meeting the cast at the after-party at The Box!

A new episode of the popular new series White Collar airs TONIGHT @ 10PM ET/PT on USA Network.

Rihanna performs at the first-ever concert on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas cruise ship on Thursday (November 19) in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The Oasis is the world’s largest cruise ship and cost $1.5 billion to build. It’s 5x bigger than the Titanic and accommodates 6,300 passengers.

The concert was the first to promote Rihanna’s new album, Rated R, which is due out on Nov. 23.

Jessica Stam knocks it out of the fashion ballpark as she makes appearances at CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards on Monday (November 16), the mtvU Woodies on Wednesday and the city’s premiere of New Moon on Thursday.

The 23-year-old model wore a gown and shoes from Gareth Pugh’s Spring 2010 collection to celebrate the next installment of Twilight, Balenciaga to the Woodies and Yigal Azrouel to the Fashion Fund Awards.

Jess attended the Fashion Fund Awards with jewelry designer Monique Pean, whose jewelry she wore to complement her dress and Jimmy Choo clutch.

Grazia UK noted that Jess looked “oh-so-statuesque in her floor-sweeping gown and colour popping shell accessories. Marilyn Monroe, eat your heart out!”

Rachel Bilson comes out to support actress pal Amber Valletta at the launch party for the new Amber Valletta for Monrow collection at Ron Herman Melrose store on Thursday (November 19) in Los Angeles.

Of course, the 28-year-old actress wore an Amber Valletta for Monrow creation — a cream pleated 50’s dress.

Earlier in the day, Rachel was seen stopping in at the Four Seasons Hotel for a business meeting before heading to her mother’s home in The Valley.

Twilight actress Ashley Greene (in D&G) hops into a cab with newly single Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill after celebrating his 23rd birthday at NYC hotspot The Box on Thursday (November 19).

Staff from the box came out with sparklers and wished Jared a happy birthday. Also there to celebrate included Gossip Girl couple Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr as well as Jared’s older brother Caleb Followill with model girlfriend Lily Aldridge.

Earlier in the evening at the same venue, The Cinema Society and D&G held the after-party for The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Camila Alves and cutie pie son Levi McConaughey go out for a fun day in the park on Wednesday (November 18) in Malibu, Calif.

The 27-year-old model is expecting her second child with longtime love Matthew McConaughey in late December/early January. Levi, 16, months, is their first child together.

Matthew, who turned 40 earlier this month, wrote on his blog that he had the best presents ever for his big day.

“Got everything I need for a perfect 40th…a happy and healthy lady, son, and another baby on the way,” he wrote.
