Newly single Reese Witherspoon is all smiles as she grabs a cup of tea and heads to a business meeting on Saturday afternoon (December 19) in Brentwood, Calif.

Earlier in the day, the 33-year-old actress went on a shopping spree at Jenny Bec’s Toy Store with son Deacon and daughter Ava.

20th Century Fox recently announced that Reese’s biopic Walk the Line will be released on BluRay on Tuesday (February 2).

The actor brothers (26 and 19 respectively) were raised in southern Australia and currently reside in California. They both screen tested for the title role of the superhero flick Thor but the part ultimately went to Chris (out Summer 2011).

Liam can next be seen as the romantic lead opposite Miley Cyrus in The Last Song (the relationship carried over off-screen as they were spotted holding hands and kissing just days ago).

Chris started off on the Aussie soap opera Home and Away and got his first Hollywood break as the doomed father of Captain Kirk (Chris Pine). He next takes the lead in the upcoming remake of Red Dawn, which deals with an invasion of the United States by the Soviet Union and its Central American allies.

Actress Brittany Murphy died of cardiac arrest on Sunday morning at the age of 32.

TMZ reports Brittany’s mom discovered her unconscious in the shower.

The Associated Press reports that the Los Angeles Fire Department then responded to a 911 call from the home of screenwriter Simon Monjack, Brittany’s husband. She was pronounced dead at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Brittany has starred in many films such as Clueless, 8 Mile and Riding in Cars with Boys.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brittany’s family and friends.

UPDATE: Brittany’s family via her rep says, “The sudden loss of our beloved Brittany is a terrible tragedy. She was our daughter, our wife, our love and a shining star. We ask you to respect our privacy at this time.”

The 24-year-old British singing sensation recorded the theme song “I See You” for Avatar, directed by James Cameron. The sci-fi flick raked in $220+ million in its worldwide debut this weekend, including a strong $73 million nationwide. Unfortunately, because of Mother Nature, the box office on the East Coast hasn’t been very strong in general.

Reality show star Tila Tequila announced some big baby news last night (December 19).

The 28-year-old Singapore-born star, whose birth name is Tila Nguyen, took to her Twitter: “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: I am going to become a SURROGATE MOTHER for my brother & his wife!!! That is my xmas present to them. I’m pregnant!!!!… I love my brother! This will change his life and mine forever!!!”

Tila starred in two seasons of MTV’s reality competition, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. She recently became engaged to Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson.
