Just last week, the so-far-scandal-free couple shopped for first-birthday presents for the Nick’s niece – and brother Drew’s daughter – Isabella (whose b-day was on March 23) at children’s boutique Petit Tresor in Beverly Hills. Nick, 33, and Vanessa, 26, have been dating for over a year now. 15+ pictures inside…

Gerard Butler playfully sticks out his tongue for the press and stands beside co-star Lena Headey at the UK premiere of 300 at Vue West End on Thursday night in London, England.

The Scottish stud will play Snake Plissken (the role originated by Kurt Russell) a one-eyed convict sent into rescue the president from the maximum-security penal colony of New York City.

‘300′ Racks Up $70 Million Sun, 11 March 2007
As expected, 300 set a new record for a March release, pulling in an estimated $70 million at this box office this weekend.
The March record was set at $68 million last year by Ice Age 2: The Meltdown.
300 also had the third-best R-rated opening of all time, after The Matrix Reloaded’s ($91.8 mil) and The Passion of the Christ’s ($83.8 mil). The film also scored the No. 21 overall premiere in history.

Gerard Butler Watches His Own Movie ‘300′ Sun, 11 March 2007
MONEY SHOT! 300 star Gerard Butler is caught redheaded catching a showing of his own movie this weekend at the Grove’s multiplex in Los Angeles, Calif.
Gerard, 37, snuck in to watch the audience’s reaction on Friday, 300’s opening night. He caught the 4:45PM showing. Did anyone notice him there??
Christina Ricci was just sharing about this on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the Friday before last. Christina said she would never watch her own film for fear of being caught and publicly humiliated.
Gerard has no shame and absolutely no fear. I love it!
And great news — 300 SLAUGHTERED the box office competition this weekend. Box Office Mojo estimates 300 ticket sales for Friday alone reached a potentially record-breaking $27.8 million.
According to Reuters, “That puts the Warner Bros. release on track for a $60 million-plus weekend, challenging the March record of $68 million set last year by “Ice Age 2: The Meltdown.”
If you haven’t already, go see 300 NOW.

Rodrigo Santoro is King Xerxes
Rodrigo Santoro is King Xerxes Wed, 07 March 2007
All the hype surrounding Gerard Butler’s performance as King Leonidas in Frank Miller’s 300 has overshadowed Rodrigo Santoro’s fantastic performance as the evil Persian King Xerxes. Check out the amazing transformation Rodrigo made from Brazilian surfer hottie to the 9-foot tall oddly feminine Xerxes.
Rodrigo, 31, is one of Brazil’s most sought-after young actors and has had notable movie roles in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and Love Actually. Most recently, he washed up on the shores of ABC’s hit drama Lost.
Check out the video below of Rodrigo’s appearance on today’s edition of Good Morning America!
300 opens in theaters (including IMAX) nationwide this Friday, March 9.

‘300′ Reasons to Watch This Movie Tue, 06 March 2007
Okay, I don’t really have 300 reasons but CanMag says it the funniest: “Gerard Butler’s portrayal of Leonidas will have you thinking that he would eat Gladiator’s Maximus, for lunch.” And indeed you will!
Last night was the 300 movie premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, which brought out its stars including Lena Headey, Andrew Tiernan, David Wenham, Gerard Butler and Rodrigo Santoro. Noticeably missing: co-star Dominic West.
Also pictured above and below are director Zack Snyder, comic book artist Frank Miller, and actors Djimon Hounsou and Ioan Gruffudd (with fiancee Alice Evans). For more pictures of the 300 cast from last night’s premiere, CLICK HERE!

Prepare for Glory!!!!!!!!!!
Just attended a private screening of 300 earlier this week and boy, was it bloody. Bloody fantastic!!! Standout performances from the entire cast including Gerard Butler (King Leonidas), Lena Headey (Queen Gorgo), Dominic West (Theron), and Rodrigo Santoro (Xerxes).
300 is the second graphic novel by Frank Miller to hit the silver screen and is stylized similarly as the first (2005’s Sin City). This time around, the story is more compelling. There are amazing Lord of the Rings-ish battle scenes, witty banter, comical moments (King Leonidas bites into an apple right after a battle scene) and tender scenes between the king the queen. (Gerard Butler fans, the luck of the Scottish will bring you Gerard’s posterior in all its glory.)
So far, 300 has garnered an unheard of 100% freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Here’s what some of top reviewers had to say:
- “A blustery, bombastic, visually arresting account of the Battle of Thermopylae as channeled through the rabid imagination of graphic novelist Frank Miller.” — Variety
- “Frank Miller’s graphic novel about an ancient Greek battle comes to vivid life.” — Hollywood Reporter
- “In between all the blood and guts, 300’s careful costuming and sensuous style is intensely erotic.” — CinemaBlend
Gerard was also interviewed on Friday on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Queen Latifah was flirting with him the whole time saying things like, ‘You shave your whole body alone?’ Hubba, hubba. Watch the video below!
Gerard will be making a Monday appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Set your TiVo’s now!
