Former O.C. star Adam Brody and his indie rock band Big Japan bandmates (including Nathanial Castro) take a break from rehearsals and grab a bite to eat on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

On Thursday, Adam, 27, was also spotted at the Wiltern Theatre and shopping for sneakers. The scruffy actor then returned home to take out the trash. Adam finished off his day reading a script for his next acting role while licking away at an ice cream cone.

Adam was spotted getting cozy with Hostel II actress Lauren German last week at the Tower Grove Villa in Beverly Hills.

What the ???????

The typically quirky and cute Adam Brody looked greasy and unkempt, sporting the early stages of a pornstache at the Maxim and Black Book magazine party on Sunday at Club Dune in Southampton, NY.

The former O.C. star wore the same pornstache on Saturday to the AIDS Gala Lifeball 2007 in Vienna, Austria.

So not cute.

In the Land of Women actor Adam Brody gives another hilarious interview on Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

They showed his first gig in Hollywood ever, a commercial where Adam stars as Bobby, the “Before Acne Guy.” He looks like such a dorkus!!!!! Love it.

“Stop eating all that greasy food, Bobby…”

In the Land of Women co-starring Meg Ryan is out in theaters now.

MTV puts Adam Brody to the test on TRL on Monday, quizzing the In The Land of Women actor to see if he’s more compatible with OLDER WOMEN or YOUNGER LADIES?

Shortly after taping his segment on Live with Regis and Kelly at ABC studios, a solo Adam Brody rocks out to his iPod nano and meanders around the Nolita area of New York City.

The former O.C. star stopped and shopped at the vintage clothing store Eleven (at the corner of Prince and Elizabeth streets) where he picked up two bags full of vintage gear.

Some excerpts from his interview with InStyle:

You made geeky Seth Cohen cool on The O.C. What were you like in high school? While I wasn’t a Casanova, I had cute girlfriends. I was all about surfing and pretty much lived at the beach–I was the California Guy. I had poor grades and knew only one other Jewish kid. Then I moved to Hollywood and realized that reading and drinking coffee are where its at and that everyone’s Jewish. So I became more nerdy and embraced my neurotic side.

What will you do with your days now that the show’s over? Grow the best bear I can. I’ve had to shave every day for four years, and I’ve never been more excited to not shave–I’ve dreamed about this. Granted, it’ll be a pretty pathetic beard, but I’m going to give it my best shot. Also, I’m going to sleep in, read, see more movies, play more music, walk my dog and write.

Geek chic Adam Brody hops back into his car after dining at a restaurant in West Hollywood on Tuesday.

The former O.C. star got an early start on summer reading, picking up the novel “No Country for Old Men” by Cormac McCarthy.

The book tells the tale of an illicit drug deal gone wrong in a remote desert location along the Texas-Mexico border in 1980.

There’s actually a film version of this book coming out later this year starring Tommy Lee Jones, Woody Harrelson and Josh Brolin (Grindhouse). No U.S. release date has been set.
