On falling in love with fiance Hayes MacArthur: “Since I was 15 years old, all I wanted was to find the guy I was going to marry. My heart got broken so many times because I put so much pressure on it. And then…I got blindsided. [Hayes] showed me the way, and all was right. This is how it’s supposed to be.”

On her love for fashion: “I’m a big fan of glamour. It’s something I don’t think there’s enough of in Hollywood anymore. I enjoy putting on a sexy dress and heels. I want to work it.”

Let’s talk about the presidential election. It’s interesting, the way that young people seem captivated in a way they haven’t been in a while. Thank God! It’s very exciting. I’m really happy that there’s so much heat around this election, because there needs to be. Right now, we need a change. I campaigned for Kerry [four years ago], and I supported Hillary.

What was it about her? Did you feel drawn to her because she’s a woman? Well, I definitely like that idea. I mean, there’s nothing more empowering than to know that I was alive to see [the possibility of] the first woman president. I think our country needs that femininity, you know? Still, I hope Obama wins.

And what’s next for you? You seem to be between acting gigs right now. Does the world feel wide open? Definitely. I’d love to do a musical. I’d love to do comedies…. I know what I want to do, but it’s just not as detailed as I’d probably like it to be.

I have a few dating questions, even though I can tell you’re going to scrunch up your nose. Whose initial is that hanging around your neck, which you very cleverly tucked inside your dress? Well, I’ ll let you make your own assumption.

Heroes actress Ali Larter smiles away on the blue carpet for the Trump International Hotel and Tower Dubai party at The Tar Estate, Bel Air, Calif. on Saturday.

Ali, 32, is currently filming a new movie, Obsessed with Beyonce and Idris Elba. Scheduled to open on Feb. 27, 2009, the movie also includes Christine Lahti and Jerry O’Connell.

“Beyonce and I are a married couple and a temp that works at my office ends up falling in love with me and it all goes crazy,” Elba said of the fim’s plot, which creates a chilling love triangle. “It’s a thriller!”

Actress Ali Larter takes a break for lunch on the Los Angeles set of Heroes.

Ali will soon be filming with Beyonce in Obsessed, which is about an office worker whose marriage to Beth Charles (Beyonce), is threatened by the aggressive interests of a co-worker, to be portrayed by Ali. Shooting is expected to begin this summer.

The 32-year-old actress’ other film credits include Varsity Blues, Final Destination, Legally Blonde, and Resident Evil: Extinction.
