Let’s talk about the presidential election. It’s interesting, the way that young people seem captivated in a way they haven’t been in a while. Thank God! It’s very exciting. I’m really happy that there’s so much heat around this election, because there needs to be. Right now, we need a change. I campaigned for Kerry [four years ago], and I supported Hillary.
What was it about her? Did you feel drawn to her because she’s a woman? Well, I definitely like that idea. I mean, there’s nothing more empowering than to know that I was alive to see [the possibility of] the first woman president. I think our country needs that femininity, you know? Ali, 32, is currently filming a new movie, Obsessed with Beyonce and Idris Elba. Scheduled to open on Feb. 27, 2009, the movie also includes Christine Lahti and Jerry O’Connell.
“Beyonce and I are a married couple and a temp that works at my office ends up falling in love with me and it all goes crazy,” Elba said of the fim’s plot, which creates a chilling love triangle. “It’s a thriller!”

Actress Ali Larter takes a break for lunch on the Los Angeles set of Heroes.
Ali will soon be filming with Beyonce in Obsessed, which is about an office worker whose marriage to Beth Charles (Beyonce), is threatened by the aggressive interests of a co-worker, to be portrayed by Ali. Shooting is expected to begin this summer.
The 32-year-old actress’ other film credits include Varsity Blues, Final Destination, Legally Blonde, and Resident Evil: Extinction.
