Check out the new “Empire State of Mind” music video from Alicia Keys and Jay-Z, which was filmed in New York City’s Harlem, Times Square and around Ground Zero on October 1.
The song, which is an ode to Jay-Z’s and Alicia’s native NYC, features sampling of “Love on a Two-Way Street” by The Moments. The video was directed by Hype Williams.

Alicia Keys surprises Noah, one of the amazing HIV-positive kids whose life has been saved by her charity “Keep A Child Alive,” on The Tyra Banks Show.
Noah, who dreams of becoming a musician, performed on the show with Tyra Banks and Alicia serving as his backup dancers. Video below!
Tyra also surprised Noah with a wagon full of clothing, an iPod, a digital recorder to record his music and a donation to Noah’s family of $5,000.

Alicia Keys and the Racounteurs frontman Jack White have teamed up for the theme song of the next James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.
“Another Way to Die” was written by White, who also played drums and guitar and produced the track. It also features Keys on piano. It’s the first duet in Bond history! The soundtrack for Quantum hits stores October 28th. Watch the video below!

Alicia Keys hosts the premiere of We Are Together at the Director’s Guild of America in NYC on Thursday.
The critically acclaimed film is a documentary which chronicles the lives of the Agape orphans in South Africa. The children featured in the film use music to overcome hardship.
Alicia said at the premiere, “I’ve always loved kids. Kids are so important. It’s important to nurture and spend time with them and listen to them. “I’m not ready to be a mom. But [adoption] is something that is important to consider. That’s what I really admire about Angelina [Jolie]. I think it’s beautiful the way she embraces children of the world.”
Alicia, 28, said she would like to create a family of different cultures, like Angelina: “We are all one. We’re not as separate as we oftentimes think. So I possibly would, when I’m more in the motherhood stage of my life.”
