Amanda Bynes serves up visions of Valentine’s Day in sexy red lingerie on the February 2010 cover of Maxim, on stands January 19.

Here’s what the 23-year-old actress shared about why she posed for the men’s mag:

You want to show the world you’re all grown up? I want to show people who I am. My parents were like, “Does this mean you’re gonna do sexy movies now?” I said, “Well, if they’re done the right way, then maybe!” I mean, I’m not gonna do porn, but if it’s a Leonardo DiCaprio movie or whatever…

Oh, we get it. If a scene involves making out with Leo DiCaprio, then it’s OK? Ha, yeah, then I wouldn’t mind! Point is, it’s time for me to start making my own decisions.

Amanda Bynes is sweet and sexy on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine’s January 2010 issue, on newsstands next Tuesday (December 8).

Here’s what the 23-year-old actress, who’s come a long way from her Amanda Show days, had to share:

On her career: “I’m at that stage where I’m still young and maybe naive, but I’m figuring it out. All I want is to continue - to have a long career. I want to do stuff that I’m passionate about.”

On what she wants in a potential relationship: “I want someone who’ll be there and who I can trust - that’s really important to me.”

Easy A is about Olive (Emma Stone), a clean-cut high school student who relies on the school’s rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.

The 23-year-old former What I Like About You star has recently struck a deal with Screen Gems for two films. She will first co-star in, Easy A, where a clean-cut high school student (played by Emma Stone) advances her social and financial standing through the school’s rumor mill after suffering through a false rumor that she lost her virginity. The 22-year-old former What I Like About You star is set to star in the ABC pilot, Canned, according to Variety.

The comedy will follow a bunch of friends who all get “canned” on the same day. Amanda will play Sarabeth, a naive Midwesterner in the wild world of office politics. Kevin Etten is the show’s creator.
