The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants stars Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn reunite to celebrate Amber’s new book at NYC’s Bowery Poetry Club on Thursday (September 3).

Amber, 26, celebrated the release of her second book of poetry “Bang Ditto” at the Akvinta Vodka-sponsored party. She gave an impromptu reading of her favorite selections from the book accompanied by her mom, Bonnie, on guitar.

Notables in attendance included Amber’s longtime boyfriend, Arrested Development actor David Cross, 45. TSOTTP costar Blake Lively’s beau, Penn Badgley, came by to congratulate Amber on Blake’s behalf as she had to work late. Heroes hottie Milo Ventimiglia, Gossip Girl stud Penn Badgley and astronaut Buzz Aldrin (pictured below) attend the GQ magazine 40th anniversary celebration of the moon landing at New York City’s Omega Boutique on Wednesday (June 3).

Later in the evening, Penn joined his girlfriend (and costar) Blake Lively for dinner at Five Points restaurant. The couple was joined by Blake’s Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants costars Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel. Missing from the sisterhood was America Ferrera.

Former Joan of Arcadia star Amber Tamblyn and former Arrested Development star David Cross were spotted making out in public at East Village watering hole 2A on Thursday night (May 14) in New York City.

A NYPost spywitness said Amber’s friends, including Alexis Bledel, didn’t bat an eyelash as they must be “used to it.”

Amber, 26, and David, 45, have been romantically linked for over a year.

FYI: The future of Amber’s ABC cop drama The Unusuals looks bleak. Says Amber, “I just wanted to let you know that I’ve heard from a very good source that the show did not get picked up for a second season. I guess all I can say is if you’re upset about it, write in to ABC or some such thing. Let them know. I doubt anything would change their minds, but it never hurts to write in.”

Orlando Bloom and his costar Amber Tamblyn shoot a dinner scene for their new movie Main Street on Monday (April 20) in Durham, NC.

The on-screen couple was also seen shooting scenes with Colin Firth and Patricia Clarkson.

Amber, 25, plays the lead in the film, which centers on a diverse group of residents of a small, economically moribund American city facing the consequences of change.Orly, 32, plays a small-town cop.

Alexis Bledel poses with her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 co-stars Blake Lively, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn at the MTV Times Square Studios during MTV’s Total Request Live in New York City on Monday.

Ms. Bledel, who turns 27 next month, is originally from Houston, and was raised by her Mexican mother Nanette and Argentine father, Martin.

With Spanish as her first language, she is hoping to land a role which can highlight her background. “I think it’s a little tricky because in the States, when they want a Latin actress, they want someone who looks sort of stereotypically Latin,” she says. “But I think I can get away with playing a Spanish or Argentine character. I really hope I get to do that someday.”

Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls) as Lena, America Ferrera (Ugly Betty) as Carmen, Amber Tamblyn (Joan of Arcadia) as Tibby and Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) as Bridget all return for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.

This is the film America had second thoughts about starring in but the film’s producers exercised their sequel option, so she wound up joining the project anyway. But hey look, America and Amber fit into one graduation gown!

Sanaa Hamri directed the film. She’s known for her music videos: Prince’s “Musicology” and Mariah Carey’s “Crybaby” and “Bringing On The Heartbreak”.
