Was anyone else not surprised by the bottom three this week? Mandisa (African-American), Paris Bennett (African-American)and Elliot Yamin (Jewish-American). As Kia so poignantly expressed, "Isn’t it funny that tonight’s bottom three consisted of the three ethnic contestants? America don’t like those ethnics singing their sacred country music. Racists." Ha ha ha. Power-house Mandisa got the boot last night, if you missed it. Lisa Tucker on The O.C.

Orange County resident and American Idol finalist Lisa Tucker will guest-star on The O.C. Thursday, April 27 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. In the episode, Tucker returns to Orange County just in time to attend Harbor School’s Senior Prom. Tucker begins production the week of April 10 on “The Party Favor” episode of The O.C. Tucker is currently a senior at Kennedy High School in Orange County, California and was voted off last week on the March 29 Idol results show.

Vote For The Worst

The brains behind the anti-’Idol‘ Web site VoteForTheWorst.com says he’s gotten death threats from Kellie Pickler fans. David Della Terza tells TMZ that he’s pushing people to vote for contestants whom he believes are the worst singers. The 23-year-old says FOX is so upset with his Web site, they’ve called out their lawyers to threaten him.

VoteForTheWorst.com lists "five lies" as told by American Idol’s Kellie Pickler. The site claims Kellie is playing up the dumb blonde act and does not deserve to win the title of American Idol. Er, so wait, why are we voting for her then? Here’s the first lie on the list ::

KELLIE’S LIE #1: "I’ve barely sung in front of people before." This is completely false and, frankly, we are surprised that very few people have called her on this one. Kellie has, indeed, sung in front of people and is no stranger to the stage. Eventually, she even changed her statement to "I’ve only sang in the shower before", which is an even lamer lie. Kellie won a county beauty pageant when she was 17 and subsequently competed to become Miss North Carolina. Oh, and her talent at both pageants? It wasn’t baton twirling. Do ‘Broken Wing’ and ‘Independence Day’ sound familiar to you? And in beauty pageants, don’t they wear fake eyelashes? The kind Kellie was talking about never having worn before? That’s not all. Just last year, Kellie competed in a North Carolina version of American Idol called Gimme the Mike! which had a large audience. She won 2nd place after singing a bum note (Kellie, sing a bum note? Never!) and had plenty of television exposure on this show as well. She also sang at the opening of evil empire Walmart in her hometown. No matter how you slice it, that’s more than just "in the shower". It’s obvious that by pretending that she has never sung in front of an audience before, Kellie can use nerves as her excuse for singing poorly when that’s probably not the case at all.

Shakira On American Idol

Shakira almost pulled the plug on her scheduled ‘American Idol‘ performance tonight. Sources connected with the show tell TMZ that the singer had insisted her band accompany her as she opened the show, but FOX said "no." We’re told it’s because FOX didn’t want to ante up money for her band. ¶ Shakira drew a line in the sand and refused to perform. But, we’re told, FOX blinked and agreed to fork over what it would take for Shakira’s band to perform. So, the show will go on.

Grammy winner Shakira, 29, and hip-hop luminary Wyclef Jean, 33, will definitely be performing my absolute favorite song of the moment – the Latin-inflected, cross-cultural hip shaker "Hips Don’t Lie" during tonight’s broadcast of American Idol! Tonight’s American Idol results show airs tonight, March 29 (9PM ET/PT) on FOX.

RECAP UPDATE :: Ace Young, Lisa Tucker and Katharine McPhee are in the bottom 3. Ace is safe. Katharine is safe. Anaheim’s 16-year-old Lisa Tucker sent home. The whole time Ryan Seacrest was hosting, I was like EEEWWWW, you sucked face with Teri Hatcher last weekend!!!!!! Shakira did a whole lot less chest thrusting than she normally does performing.

trying to send subliminal messages for America to vote for Taylor?
