Amerie struts her stuff in this sexy shoot for HoneyMag.com.

The 29-year-old singer spoke about relationships, staying true to herself and connecting with her fans.

On relationships: ” I’ve always pretty much had a good handle on what’s going on in a relationship. I’ve always trusted my intuition and I’ve always known that my intuition is right. Now whether I decide to go with that or not is a different story. But I always knew, and I tell women this all the time, intuition will never lead you astray. Never. We have it for a reason. But we choose to try and turn it down or try and turn it off.”

On staying true to herself: “I always made a decision early on that I wouldn’t try to forget who I really am, that I wouldn’t try to just lose myself in everything. I’m not into secret marriages or big relationships for press and all those things. I’m into just doing me, being me and creating my music. And that’s it.”

On connecting with her fans: “I always reach out to my fans. When I first came out, I had my own website and I would do an update. A lot of people weren’t doing that. Some were, but not a whole lot. It was more like posting a paragraph about what’s going on. And now with Twitter and everything, it’s just like a constant influx of information from everyone, you know? I do have a Twitter account and I definitely do use it.”

Amerie works it out in super thigh-high boots and a fur vest in Manhattan on Tuesday (November 4).

The 31-year-old Grammy nominee sat down with The Urban Daily to talk about her new album, In Love & War, in stores NOW! (Make sure you download “Swag Back.” Obsessed!!!)

“The album, for the most part, is about the hard times of relationships,” Amerie said.

“There’s no song that idealizes love…it’s more of a realistic portrayal of being with someone other than yourself.”

As for whether she thinks all is fair in love and war, “I think so!” Amerie shared. “Human nature is human nature and the heart wants what the heart wants.”

“My first album was very hip-hop/R&B,” the 29-year-old year old singer has said. “My second album had more up-tempo songs on there as well as being hip-hop/Soul. My third album was very hip-hop/soul/80’snew wave, which a lot of people loved. And this one is hip-hop/soul/rock!”

Amerie drops it like its hot at Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Must-List Party at Gotham Hall on Thursday in New York City.

The half-Korean, half-African American singer has an album called Because I Love It coming out later this summer.

The release of Because I Love It made Blender magazine’s list of 25 Reasons to Love ‘07, ranking in at #19.

Amerie, 29, recently geeked out saying, “I am addicted to The Sims [video game]. I live out a virtual life online. I think it’s seriously cool, but I guess it’s kind of dorky. I’ve got [Destiny's Child singer] Kelly Rowland into it too, and now we hook up in the game. Beyonce tried to join us, but she wasn’t into it. Also I love to read science magazines. It’s not very R+B I know.”
