Angelina Jolie has completed her adoption of 3-year-old Pax Thien Jolie from Vietnam. The mother-of-four has left the capital Hanoi, where she obtained Pax’s visa to take him home to L.A. The family departed from Noi Bai Airport via a Gulfstream jet.

Said Angelina on making Pax’s transition as smooth as possible: “It will take him a while to realize he has a family and that his new life is permanent and that it won’t keep changing.”

Angelina Jolie debuts her new son, Pax Thien Jolie, in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time since his adoption last week. The mother of four was joined in Vietnam by a welcoming committee: big brother Maddox, 5, and little sister Zahara, 2 (10-month-old Shiloh was home with dad), as the 3-year-old now joins the world’s most famous multicultural family.

And here’s a great recent quote from orphanage director Nguyen Van Trung on the similarity between Pax and Angelina?

(laughs) I think he is like Brad Pitt rather than Jolie. Sang Pax is as naughty and smart as any character played by Pitt. Brad Pitt is very easy. Last year when he came here, he asked me where the restroom was and I showed him the way to a public restroom. And he walked straight there.”

As just reported, here is the exclusive Hello! magazine cover of new mom Angelina Jolie and Pax Thien Jolie. This issue will provide an “intimate glimpse of Angelina as she arrived in Vietnam to pick up her new adopted son Pax Thien last week.”

Here are some highlights from Angelina’s intimate interview with Hello!:

• On her son’s kindness: “He is a very serious, very sweet little boy.”
• On Pax coping with his new life “You can imagine what courage it takes to be in all new surroundings with new people and a new language. He is very strong.”
• On being a devoted mom: “I will stay at home to help Pax adjust to his new life. I have four children and caring for them is the most important thing for me at the moment. I am very proud and happy to be their mother.”
• On strengthening bonds with Pax: “We are slowly beginning to build his trust and bond but it will feel complete only when we are all together.”

And according to a Hello! press release, there will be “breathtaking spread features [of] young Pax playing and napping with his new siblings.” We can look forward to a great photo spread of Angelina, Pax, Maddox, and Zahara.

Hello! reports that once they fly back to L.A., Pax will meet his youngest sister, Shiloh, and dad Brad Pitt.

But Hello! magazine’s readers will be able to pick up their copy this Thursday. Angelina tells Hello!, “He is a very serious, very sweet little boy.”

When they pick-up the copy of Hello! arriving on newsstands starting this Thursday, Hello! readers will catch an exclusive and intimate glimpse of Angelina Jolie as she arrived in Vietnam to pick up her new adopted son Pax Thien last week.

Hello!’s breathtaking spread features young Pax playing and napping with his new siblings. As Hello!’s exclusive photographs show, he has been welcomed as the latest member of the growing Jolie-Pitt clan, able to claim as siblings a brother and two sisters and two of the world’s most glamorous activists as his parents.

Said Angelina, “You can imagine what courage it takes to be in all new surroundings with new people and a new language. He is very strong.”

Angelina Jolie will star next alongside James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman in Wanted, reports Variety.

Wanted is an action film from Universal Pictures based on a graphic novel that Timur Bekmambetov will direct.

Angelina accepted the role after the script was rewritten by Dean Georgaris (Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life) to tailor the character for her (script was originated by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas).

Angelina, 31, will play an assassin who trains a wanna killer (McAvoy) and will travel to Eastern Europe in May to begin shooting.

UPDATE :: Variety also reports that Brad Pitt will star in the Americanized version of the acclaimed British miniseries State of Play. Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland) will direct.

Angelina Jolie carries her newly adopted son Pax Thien Jolie, 3, as she rushes to a VIP room at the Tan Son Nhat airport on Morning morning in Ho Chi Minh city, southern Vietnam.

The pair was escorted under a big umbrella held by her personal security officer Mickey Brett.

According to Us Weekly, the mother-of-four checked out of their hotel in Ho Chi Minh City at around 2 p.m. and left behind their toys to be given away to needy children.

The Oscar-winning actress and her children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh – are traveling to Hanoi, the Vietnamese capital, to complete the procedures necessary to take Pax to his new home in the United States.

Angelina is expected to meet with U.S. Embassy officials Tuesday to apply for a visa for 3-year-old Pax. Once the visa is issued, she can take him to L.A. She is expected to leave Hanoi on Wednesday.

It was just announced that Angelina Jolie, St. John’s current spokesmodel, will again appear in the Fall/Winter 2007 St. John Knits ad campaign, which will be photographed soon.

Said creative consultant and former creative director Kelly Gray, “You know I can’t give you the shoot dates but she is definitely a part of that creative team and I’m proud to be a part of it.”"

Said St. John chairman Jim Kelley, “We lost our way for a while with the product. We’ve got the business back on track. Things are proceeding really well.”

Angelina helped rejuvenate the dying St. John label, which is now worth over $400 million.

Here are the adoptions papers that Angelina Jolie filed with authorities in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in order to gain custody of 3-year-old son Pax Thien Jolie. The adoption agency Angelina used also issued this statement following the adoption of Pax.

Bui Thi Bich Tuyen, a nurse from Tam Binh Orphanage where Angelina adopted Pax said staff there didn’t realize she and Brad Pitt were celebrities when they first visited last year during Thanksgiving — Angelina shared crayons and drew pictures with the kids.

Said Tuyen, “They looked very much like ordinary people. We thought that they were just an ordinary couple that wanted to play with the kids and give them presents. They brought lots of toys. We could already see that she had a heart for children.”
