Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental drug overdose, police announced early Monday morning.

“We found nothing to indicate any foul play,” said Chief of the Seminole Police Department Charlie Tiger.

Apparently there were no serious injuries and no evidence of illegal drugs on the day Anna Nicole died. The cause of Anna Nicole’s death was a combination of the flu and slight infection from the abscess, the sleeping pills, and the therapeutic drugs.

Therefore, partner Howard Stern will not be prosecuted.

Anna Nicole Smith’s funeral took place in a private ceremony at Mount Horeb Baptist Church in Nassau earlier today. Anna’s coffin was then taken to Lake View cemetery for burial.

HOLY NUTS! Anna Nicole Smith is dead! She apparently was found unresponsive in her hotel room. Her private nurse called hotel staff, who contacted 911 as her bodyguard performed CPR.

The cause? According to reports, it was a drug overdose. Anna was 39.

Anna collapsed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital just after 2PM. Her temperature was running high last night, according to partner Howard K. Stern.

Anna’s son Daniel died of a drug overdose five months ago on Sept. 10. Her daughter Dannielynn (born Sept. 7) was supposed to undergo paternity tests soon…

• The Daily News features a photo of Madonna and newly adopted David Banda in Malawi. Sources tell London’s Daily Mail that the tot has a nursery filled with $25,000 worth of toys, including a child size BMW that he is not yet old enough to operate. The Mail also reports that Madonna plans to fly to California to complete the adoption- on the advice of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who have two adopted children.
• Jake Gyllenhaal and ex Kirsten Dunst had a friendly chat at Capitale on Tuesday night. Dunst’s publicist says the two are “friends.”

Anna Nicole Smith, 38, and lawyer Howard K. Stern, 37, boarded the 41-ft. catamaran Margaritaville in the early morning hours of Sept. 28 and set sail off the coast of the Bahamas’ Paradise Island – and then pledged their love in a commitment ceremony. During the simple ceremony, Smith and Stern exchanged vows and temporary rings before a Baptist minister and some of the couple’s close friends. Although the high-seas ceremony is not legally binding (and no marriage certificate was issued), the pair “made a commitment before God to be there for one another, to be each other’s strength during this difficult time.”
