Gwyn and her The Royal Tenenbaums cast mates recently had a reunion screening at the New York Film Festival.

“I loved being in scenes with him,” said Gwyn of her co-star Gene Hackman. “He was kind of a bear of a guy, but I also found something very sweet and sad in there. I think he’s one of the greatest actors who ever lived. I mean, if you’re Gene Hackman you can be in a f-ing bad mood if you want.”

Meanwhile, Gwyneth‘s husband Chris Martin had lunch the same afternoon with his pal Jay-Z.

Chris recently told CBS Sunday Morning (via Us Weekly) that his relationship with Gwyneth is the only serious one he’s ever been in.

“It’s a big leap? What, from being a loser, to going out with an Oscar winner?” Chris joked before saying, “It’s a giant leap. Let’s face it: it’s like winning the lottery.”

The 38-year-old actress flew into Manhattan on a helicopter with her musician hubby, Chris Martin, 34, and their 7-year-old daughter Apple, and 5-year-old son Moses.

Last week, Chris‘ band, Coldplay, hit Lollapalooza in Chicago, where they performed for fans and paid tribute to the late Amy Winehouse at the annual music festival.

The 38-year-old actress was vacationing with her little ones and her friend, director Steven Spielberg.

Gwyn rocked a red hot bikini as she rode a jet ski with Moses, 5, late last week. The family spent the day on Steven‘s yacht, the Seven Seas.

Papa Chris Martin wasn’t able to come on vacation with the family – Coldplay had a performance at the Oxegen Festival in Ireland.

Gwyneth Paltrow dons a bikini as she rides a jet ski with her son Moses, 5, while on vacation on Thursday (July 7) and Friday (July 8) in Porto Cervo, Italy.

The 38-year-old actress was also joined by her daughter Apple, 7, and brother Jake Paltrow aboard Steven Spielberg‘s private yacht, the “Seven Seas.”

While on the yacht, Gwyneth took some time out for herself to exercise in the gym on the boat.

Gwyneth Paltrow holds hands with her daughter, Apple, as they walk the streets of Paris, France together on Thursday (July 8).

The 37-year-old British actress, who posed for Mario Testino on the cover of Vogue this month, carried her swag in an oversized monogrammed bag.

Earlier in the week, Gwyn attended a swanky Valentino dinner party at Versailles with celebs including Claire Danes, Hugh Dancy and Jessica Alba.
