Pete Wentz accepts the “Voice of Mental Health” award at the 8th annual Jed Foundation Gala at Guastavino’s on Thursday (June 11) in New York City. Here’s what the 30-year-old Fall Out Boy frontman told JustJared.com at the event:

JJ: How did you get involved with JED?

PW: I did this PSA with MTV, I’m pretty aware of how people this age can be affected, college kids, that’s why I did that as well.

JJ: It was your 30th birthday on Friday, what was your favorite gift?

PW: My wife [Ashlee Simpson] gave me a pretty creative video, then she gave me the camera she made the video with which was cool. It’s like a home video and has [my son] Bronx in it.

JJ: Do you guys live in NY or LA now?

PW: We live in LA, but we want to get a place here. She’s filming Melrose Place in LA, though.

Here is the final shot of happily married couple Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz promoting the NOH8 campaign, as captured by photographer Adam Bouska.

The couple, joined by Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus (pictured below), are coming together to overturn the California Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the ban on same-sex unions. (A behind-the-scenes shot of Ashlee/Pete was posted yesterday.)

Hoppus told E!, “My son asked me one time, ‘Some guys have girlfriends and some girls have boyfriends, but do boys sometimes have boyfriends?’ I said, ‘Yeah, all kinds of people love different kinds of people. And that’s the world we live in.’ ”

NO ON H8, YES ON DUCT TAPE

Here is a behind-the-scenes shot of Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson, featuring the married couple in NOH8, a campaign in response to the Supreme Court ruling that upheld a ban on gay marriage.

According to E!, Pete and Ashlee wore the campaign’s signature look: a white backdrop, “NOH8″ painted on their cheeks and duct tape covering their mouths (symbolizing pro-gay voices not being heard).

Ashlee Simpson spends the afternoon with hubby Pete Wentz and their 6-month-old son Bronx Mowgli at A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival on Sunday (June 7).

The 24-year-old pop rock singer attended the Disney-sponsored event to benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Ashlee is also gearing up for a new full-time role in CW’s Melrose Place. Talking to MTV News, Ashlee shared that, “It’s exciting because we don’t get to see the next episode. We don’t get to read the scripts until we’re actually about to shoot it, and everyone is dying to know what’s going to happen to their characters, so it’s fun. It’ll be exciting to play that arc. … It’s got good drama.”

Looks like Pete is trying to liven things up and Ashlee isn’t having any of it! Perhaps Ash is mad at Pete for something?

Ashlee Simpson brings baby Bronx, 4 months, to the set of her new CW show, Melrose Place, in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday (April 18).

The new Melrose Place is a a remake of the hit 90’s show. The cast also includes Katie Cassidy, Laura Leighton, Jessica Lucas, Stephanie Jacobsen, Ryan Eggold, Michael Rady, Shaun Sipos, Colin Egglesfield and Thomas Calabro. Ashlee will play the role of Violet Foster, a small-town girl who comes to L.A. with a secret.

Fallout Boy bassist Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson have just showed off the Disney-fied bedroom of their baby boy Bronx Wentz, 4 months.

Pete, 29, writes, “I know we’ve been very protective over our son and what people see. But everyone knows we’re huge Disney fans and we wanted to give the peeps over at Disney Consumer Products a shout-out for coming in and helping design his nursery. These are pictures of the walls before we got all his gear in there. The chalk board is real. We also had the artist that draws Pooh do the art…. Eeyore’s tail is velcroed on.”
