USA Weekend recently spoke to her husband Pete Wentz about being a new father to son Bronx, 4 weeks.

What will he read to Bronx? Growing up, my parents OD’d me on the library, and I was pretty loaded up when it came to children’s books. I definitely can’t wait to read some of my favorites, like “Goodnight Moons,” “The Little Prince” and the “Mr. Men and Little Miss” books. I know that we already picked up the 50th anniversary copy of “Paddington Bear,” which is a great one.”

Pete Wentz has taken to his blog to address rumors that he and wife Ashlee Simpson are selling tabloids the first pictures of their son Bronx Mowgli, 3 weeks.

In an entry titled, “Ring, ring, it’s the truth calling,” Pete writes, “About baby pics gossip: truth is like every celeb couple we were offered mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby. We just don’t want to go down that road with him.”

“We are not placing judgment on those that do as they often use the money in a very charitable way. However, we have made the decision to not sell Bronx’s baby pictures right now. We understand that like other celebrities have said, ‘There is a bounty on our heads’ for these pictures. There is a danger when there are cameras being held over walls and into our backyard. We are followed day and night and that was fine when it was us but we are going to do our best to shelter Bronx from that as much as possible. It’s scary to be followed by 10 cars to your home. We understand the curiosity, just not the viciousness that comes along with it when it becomes so insatiable. We know there will be a time when we’ll share him with everyone because that insatiable curiousity [sic] becomes unsafe or simply because we’re proud parents who want to show him off! We know our fans support and care about us and want to know about our family and we’ve always been straight up and open with those who care about us most, so at some time, when it makes sense, Bronx will be out in the world.

“In the meantime, we’d like to say thank you to those who have allowed us relative privacy in letting us just be a family for now - and to enjoy all the happiness he’s brought us.”

Ashlee Simpson just blogged about her newborn son Bronx Mowgli, 3 weeks. Here’s what she wrote on her MySpace Celebrity page about her son and husband Pete Wentz:

“Hey everyone! I haven’t written in a while, just wanted to write and check in! Motherhood is the most fantastic experience I have ever been thru, Bronx makes me laugh and smile everyday! I finally left the house for Fall Out Boy’s show on Monday night, which was so good. Their new songs sound awesome live, I can’t wait for their new record! And last night I went to Pete and Bronx’s godfather Travis’ artshow. It’s amazing to see how many artistic outlets those boys have! Made me very proud. It was an awesome show and so many of our friends and family came out to support. I hope you guys have a great holiday, I can’t wait to spend it with my new family. Christmas tree goes up tomorrow!

This week’s issue of OK! Magazine somehow managed to misspell Ashlee Simpson’s name as “Ashley” - on the cover, no less.

A rep for the magazine told Page Six, “It is highly embarrassing and, sadly, someone will probably be fired.”

This comes just weeks after Susan Toepfer was installed as the new editor-in-chief. Not a great way to start off your new job!

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and husband Pete Wentz welcomed a son Thursday night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Bronx Mowgli Wentz weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and measured 20 1/2 inches long.

A spokesperson tells People, “Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”

Congratulations, Ashlee and Pete!!! You now own a B.M.W.!!!

P.S. Pete and his pop-punk band, Fall Out Boy, have a third album dropping on Dec. 16 called Folie A Deux.

Ashlee Simpson has gone into labor, according to In Touch.

Ash, 24, and husband Pete Wentz, 29, are both at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. A family insider has confirmed, “Yes, she is in labor and the family [is] really excited and waiting to meet the baby!”

A false alarm occurred last week when Pete canceled his appearance with Larry King on CNN.

The musical duo got married on May 17th in Los Angeles.

Pete Wentz just updated his official site to say:

“Due to breaking news and scheduling conflicts, I will not be appearing on Larry King Live tonight, though I am a big fan of the show and look forward to appearing on it in the future. I also look forward to the chance to continue supporting civil rights and speaking out against the passing of Proposition 8 and others like it (I’m looking at you Arizona and Florida) whenever and wherever i can.”
