Avril Lavigne and husband Deryck Whibley exit Madeos restaurant with a doggy bag on Sunday night.

The 23-year-old singer’s music video “Girlfriend” became YouTube’s most-viewed video ever, and has been watched more than 93 million times. Lavigne’s manager says YouTube owes her around $2 million for views of her videos on YouTube.

Avril’s fans have been banding together to inflate the play count artificially by using a constantly refreshing website that adds one pageview every 15 seconds to her music video.

A YouTube spokesperson made the following statement: “We have safeguards in place that limit the efficiency of this type of behavior, to make sure that advertising campaigns running on YouTube only reach legitimate viewers and are in no way affected by inflated view counts or gaming activities.”

Avril Lavigne promotes the launch of her new clothing line, the Abbey Dawn collection, at Kohl’s department store on Thursday in Alhambra, Calif.

Abbey Dawn was a nickname from her father, a street name that her father saw while working in Kingston, Ontario. The line includes hoodies and jeans with skull and zebra patterns similar to the artwork on Avril’s latest album, The Best Damn Thing.

The Jonas Brothers opened up for the 23-year-old Canadian singer and will continue to tour with her in Europe for the rest of the month.

Ms. Lavigne continues her professional evolution, reportedly landing a lead role in a movie. She has previously had minor parts in The Flock, Fast Food Nation and also provided her voice for the animated movie Over The Hedge. Regarding the new film, she said, “I’ve got a film role coming up - something you wouldn’t expect from me, something deep and dark.”

Pop rocker Avril Lavigne has struck a licensing deal with Procter & Gamble Prestige Products to launch her very first fragrance in 2009, reports WWD.

“Young teenage girls really aspire to Avril and love everything about her,” said Heike Hindenlang, global marketing director for Procter & Gamble Prestige Products. “We think we can reach out to new consumers with her scents. It’s about finding which brands appeal to young consumers and [which] fashion and celebrities are resonant with them.”

Avril said she was very pleased “to be working with Procter & Gamble on releasing my first fragrance. Creating this fragrance is a fun process and I am looking forward to sharing it with everyone.”

Avril Lavigne is out and about in a bright green beanie while signing autographs in Glasgow, Scotland on Tuesday.

Retailer Kohl’s announced earlier this year it was partnering with Avril to launch Abbey Dawn, an apparel and jewelry collection.

JJ: What’s the musical direction of your next album? How are you evolving musically?

AL: I would like to sit and and write some acoustic stuff. That’s what I want to do but that doesn’t mean that’s what my record is gonna be. It means creatively, that’s what I want so I need to do that for myself and then I’ll just see. I don’t know, I cant really tell. I’m just touring for six more months and so your body goes through cycles and change so I have no idea.

JJ: The acoustic stuff would really showcase your voice, which is fantastic live.

AL: I think it would be good to have some of that stuff on the record, just to show people, instead of the song being so all about the track and hiding my voice. But I don’t know about the entire record being like that. We’ll see. Maybe like half.

JJ: Your clothing line, Abbey Dawn, was a nickname from your dad? How did he get that nickname?

AL: He worked in Kingston, and it was like a street name or something. It was this area called Abbey Dawn and I don’t know. He just called me Abbey and Abbey Dawn. All my friends in high school called me Abbey, and when I first started out, my alias name was always Abbey Dawn in my hotel rooms, so it was something that stuck with me my entire life. I always used to think if I had a girl I’d called her Abbey but now I have a clothing lined that I call Abbey…

JJ: What’s your favorite thing you like to do with [Sum 41 husband Deryck Whibley]?

AL: Just chill and be at home [in LA].

JJ: What’s the sweetest thing he’s done for you?

AL: He’s just really sweet all the time [giggles]. He’s just a really sweet dude.
