It’s recently been reported that the 47-year-old redhead will join the cast of Desperate Housewives as Bree’s (Marcia Cross) sister. Well, not true!

“Julianne is a very talented actress and we would be honored to have her appear on Desperate Housewives” an ABC Studios rep tells TV Guide. “Unfortunately at this time, there are no plans to do so.”

Perfect casting, but not happening.

Ms. Moore, 47, took her mini-me Liv, 5 1/2, for a backstage visit at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to see star Sierra Boggess, who originating the role of Ariel in the 2007 Broadway adaption of the 1989 film.

“Freckleface Strawberry” author Julianne Moore stays bundled up while picking up her kids Caleb, 10, and Liv, 5, from school on a freezing Tuesday afternoon in New York City.

Julianne, who turned 47 earlier this month, has been happily married to director Bart Freundlich for eleven years.

“We are happy,” the stunning redhead recently told OK!. “I love him dearly and he loves me dearly. I really don’t know if anyone really knows what the secret is.”

The 46-year-old actress makes several appearances in the film as Alice Fabian, a character based on folk singer Joan Baez, who helped launch Dylan’s career in the early 1960s. The commentary for the film is also chiefly provided by Julianne.

I’m Not There opens in theaters nationwide next Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Julianne wore a sparkly red headband with She-Devil horns, son Cal, 9, dressed as a gnome and cutie Liv, 5, went as Wonder Woman. Bart was a fart get into costume! You can see the entire family carried around orange boxes, collecting money for UNICEF.

It must come in really handy to have paparazzi capture family-bonding moments!

Julianne Moore goes on a Sunday stroll in NYC with her kids — son Cal Freundlich, 9, and daughter Liv Freundlich, 5. The trio were accompanied by Auntie Ellen Barkin (Ocean’s 13).

Cal wore a personalized cap, a Lacoste polo, adidias shorts and sandals.

Julianne, 46, and Ellen, 53, starred in the 2005 romantic comedy Trust the Man together. The film was directed by Julianne’s hubby Bart Freundlich.

UPDATE: Cal is sporting a hat from the Univeristy of California, Berkeley, fondly known as “Cal”.
