On Sex and the City: “It’s my favorite show! I love it! Obviously not the scenarios. But if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters—that’s a thing we try to do on our show.”

On the infamous semi-topless shot: “No, I mean I had a big blanket on. And I thought, This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy. [And] it wasn’t in a skanky way.… And you can’t say no to [photographer Annie Leibovitz]. She’s so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you’re like, O.K.”

On whose career trajectory she’d like to follow: “Before, I’d say like Hilary Duff. But there can’t be a thousand Hilary Duffs. Then that doesn’t make Hilary special. And there can’t be a thousand Miley Cyruses, or that doesn’t make me special. That’s what a star is: they’re different. A celebrity is different. So, no, mostly I want to make my own path.”

On being well-adjusted to the fame and public attention: “That’s just my personality. I don’t get shaken or stirred up over anything. Which can be a problem sometimes. I’m just, like, so no emotions. I just don’t let things faze me. I’m very much like my dad. My dad’s like this.”

On being pals with paparazzi camped out of her gated home. “Sometimes there’ll be like 40. Sometimes 20, sometimes 30. Sometimes two. I’ll stop and I’ll do the picture. It’s really funny. They’ll buy our dinner and whatever. We’ve become friends.”

Miley Cyrus performs duet “Ready, Set, Don’t Go” with father Billy Ray onstage during the 2008 CMT Music Awards at the Curb Events Center at Belmont University on Monday in Nashville, Tennessee.

The father-daughter duo hosted the entire event. During their opening segment, Billy Ray joked about how popular his daughter really is.

He said, “I know what’s going on here, OK. I didn’t fall off the turnip truck yesterday … it’s pretty obvious what you’re all doing. You’re just using Miley to get to me.”

Miley Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray are set to host the 2008 CMT Music Awards on April 14 from Belmont University’s Curb Event Center in Nashsville, Tenn.

Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Sugarland and Toby Keith will also be among the performers.

Disney also announced today that the Hannah Montana movie will shoot in Tennessee and Los Angeles, with a scheduled release date of May 1, 2009.

Below is Miley’s new YouTube show: The Miley & Mandy Show. In the clip, Miley and her dancer friend, Mandy Jiroux, are seen laughing, dancing to Janet Jackson’s “Feedback,” doing hand-stands and reading magazines.

Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana has legally changed her name from Destiny Hope Cyrus to Miley Ray Cyrus according to ETonline.

Miley has been her nickname because she was always smiling (”Smiley”) growing up.

She added in Ray as her middle name for her dad and country music star Billy Ray Cyrus.

Miley’s created quite a stir recently with candid pictures of the Disney star popping up on the Internets.

Disney star Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana, appeared on Thursday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show to address the scalpers that are selling tickets to her concert tour. Scalpers are asking for exorbitant amounts (up to $4,500 for tickets) to the concert, which also features the pop rock group The Jonas Brothers.

“It’s going to be a good show, but I don’t think it’s worth what it’s going for,” Miley, 14, told Ellen. “[But] for the people that do get to come, I’m going to make it the best show ever.”
