Bret Michaels has been hospitalized and is in critical condition after suffering a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage, or bleeding at the base of his brain stem.

The 47-year-old rocker had a painful headache Thursday night and is under “intense observation” after being admitted and undergoing CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, according to People.

Bret‘s last hospital stay was earlier this month as he underwent an emergency appendectomy.

Bret Michaels says his new song featuring Miley Cyrus, “Nothin’ To Lose,” is nothing to get defensive about.

The 46-year-old Poison rocker told Us Weekly that he wrote the song “a couple years ago” for a solo performance and that Miley was excited to record harmonies to his song.

Us Weekly pointed out that the lyrics to the song could be construed as inappropriate: “We both know better than this/Still we can’t resist/Slowly get undressed” while over the chorus, they both sing “Won’t you fall down on me/So close I can feel you breathe.”

“It’s blown out of proportion,” Bret said. “I just thought it was a beautiful song.”
