Britney Spears goes shopping for her two sons, Jayden and Sean, and picks up a few baby items at Babies “R” Us late Friday afternoon in Van Nuys, Calif. She wore a light blue bikini top (and thankfully bottom) covered up with a sheer white top.

The 25-year-old pop princess, whose rep announced Brit won’t have any new music until 2008, also picked up a Frappuccino and a sandwich at the local Starbucks. Are the sandwiches at Starbucks that good?

Recently scribbled on Britney’s official website in bright red lettering is a semi-cryptic message for (reportedly) her mom Lynne: “You’ll never see it my way, because you’re not me”. Towards the bottom, it reads: “Mother to Grandmother, and my my, you’re grand.”

Reconciliation? Methinks not!

Everybody’s been dying to hear what Britney Spears has been cooking up in the music studio but her rep, Leslie Sloan Zelnick, told Life & Style yesterday that Britney’s album won’t drop until 2008.

“I put her on hiatus,” Zelnik says. “Brit’s album is pushed until ’08. If she has no album, there’s no reason to do anything. I’m representing her in theory right now. I said that since the album is pushed back until ’08, let’s go on hiatus until we have a campaign to do.”

One music-industry insider attributes the delay to Britney’s creative struggles. “I’m surprised the album wasn’t pushed back to ’09 — everything’s up in the air with the album right now,” the insider says. “Jive [Records, Brit's label] hated the songs Britney was coming up with, except for a few. The executives are not happy. And she didn’t want to listen to anyone. Everything was a problem for her. They wanted her to work with certain people, and she wanted the opposite.”

Come on Brit Brit, step it up!

Britney Spears races away like Speedy Gonzalez and makes a mad dash for the elevators as she stops by an office building in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.

Wearing a new (but stained) minidress, the 25-year-old pop princess was later seen visiting the Comerica Bank and finished her day at the Four Seasons Hotel. Yes, her BFF cousin Alli Sims accompanied her all day!

• Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes says the firing of Isaiah Washington was in line with the storyline. “I feel we wrote the show in a way that really completes the story of [Washington’s character] Burke,” she told Access Hollywood. Meanwhile, Washington is getting support in his bid to return to Grey’s Anatomy from Jasmyne Cannick, a prominent gay and lesbian activist who insists he should not have been fired for his homophobic remarks. Cannick has started a petition- which had 1,233 signatures as of last night- to get Washington’s job back. A rep for the actor denies he is behind the petition.
• Jon Stewart and his agent recently had an “exploratory” meeting with NBC Universal president Jeff Zucker, according to Broadcasting & Cable magazine. NBC is seeking to plan its late night future in 2009, when Conan O’Brien is slated to take over Jay Leno’s Tonight Show. Stewart’s Comedy Central contract runs through 2008.

Britney Spears manages to avoid a full wardrobe malfunction as she barely catches the strap of her dress from falling completely off on Friday afternoon. Le sigh.

The pop princess was on her way for her java fix at Starbucks in North Hollywood, Calif. On her ride home in a Mercedes Benz , Britney sipped on her frappuccino and avoided tan lines by letting both her dress straps hang. The cowboy hat’s back in full effect, ya’ll!!

A little history on this past week alone: On Tuesday, Britney exposed her top while out hitting up a few Hollywood hotspots and on Wednesday, she showed us plenty of her pink panties.

UPDATE: No wonder why Britney’s dress doesn’t fit her — she shares clothes with her cousin Alli Sims. Allie wore the same one on Wednesday!

Did she hire a stylist??? A+++++++++!!!

Britney Spears sports one hot black-and-white ensemble while out browsing for a new set of wheels at a roadside dealership on Thursday in Los Angeles — black hot pants, black waistcoat, white buttondown, a black fedora and a pair of peep-toes.

With her everpresent BFF cousin Alli Sims, Brit checked out the new Smart cars, which have some artificial intelligence (”AI”) functionality.

Earlier in the day, the pop princess headed back to the recording studio to work on her upcoming album during a four-hour-session. Two days ago, Brit asked fans to help her title said album.

Later in the evening, Brit headed over to Millennium Dance Studios, where she held auditions for two male back-up dancers. She was also spotted at a private school — The Little Red School House in Hollywood.

Britney Spears tries out two different white hot looks on Wednesday while out holding hands and shopping again with her cousin Allie.

The twosome slipped out the back door of the Ron Herman Store in Beverly Hills and after a quick change, the pair was spotted doing even more shopping in the same neighborhood.

Now they dress alike and they hold hands! How cute.
