Earlier this morning, Britney Spears confessed to partying and revealing a bit too much of what her mommy gave her. (Britney celebrated her 25th birthday on Saturday at Mr. Chow’s restaurant in Beverly Hills.) Here’s what Britney posted on her official website:

It’s been so long since I’ve been out on the town with friends. It’s also been 2 years since I’ve even celebrated my birthday. Every move I make at this point has been magnified more than I expected, and I probably did take my new found freedom a bit too far. Anyway, thank God for Victoria Secrets’ new underwear line! I look forward to a new year, new music and a new me.

I’m just getting started… Happy Holidays everyone!

Friends = Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan

• James Blunt may have asked girlfriend Petra Nemcova to marry him. Petra she was spotted on Fifth Avenue yesterday during a commercial shoot wearing a huge diamond on her ring finger.
• Christina Aguilera and Rascal Flatts will perform live from Times Square during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2007, airing on ABC. Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest will co-host the event.
• Pamela Anderson is expected to host a New Year’s Eve party at Tao Las Vegas, just across the street from Kid Rock’s party at Jet. Britney Spears is taking over Pure nightclub while Nicole Richie is in talks to host a bash at Tangerine.
• Comedian Margaret Cho will guest star on Fox’s ’Til Death early next year.
• Rosie O’Donnell announced yesterday that she might star in FX drama Nip/Tuck instead of getting her own spin-off on the network. Rosie would replace Joely Richardson and her popular character would own the plastic surgery center.

Flynet posted pictures of Britney Spears celebrating her 25th birthday yesterday afternoon at the Los Angeles Zoo with son Sean Preston, almost 15 months, and one of her old back-up dancers, TJ Espinoza.

Last night, Britney glammed up and hit up Mr. Chow for her birthday dinner (see below). Thankfully, way less revealing than this past week’s blinding photos. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRIT!

The latest issue of Us has Paris Hilton gushing over Britney Spears: “I love her. She is the sweetest girl I know. She’s so down-to-earth. I just want her to smile and be happy.”

Recently, a spokesperson for Fox announced that Britney was backing out of hosting Monday’s Billboard Awards show, leaving Paris to fend for herself. Something tells me it all doesn’t quite add up.

Anyway, pictures include Britney filling up her car’s tank at a gas station last night along the Pacific Coast Highway. Seems like a paparazzi has got it in good with Britney, hugging her at her hotel.

NO WONDER THEY’VE BEEN HANGING OUT 24/7. Britney Spears and Paris Hilton are slated to co-host Monday’s Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas!!!!! Exciting performances by: Janet Jackson, Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, and the Fray. Appearances by: Carrie Underwood, Katharine McPhee, Carmen Electra, Dave Navarro, and Vanessa Minnillo. Score one for the FOX network for snagging Brit and Paris. Should be quite the interesting awards show. Will definitely be tuning in!

UPDATE :: People Mag pulled their Billboard Awards story off their main page. Us Weekly is reporting that Britney pulled out of co-hosting the Billboards with Paris. How very strange and how very fast this is all going down. If just Paris hosts, who is going to watch?!?! Errrr…
