Brittany Murphy died from pneumonia and “iron deficiency anemia” as well as multiple drug intoxication, the Los Angeles County Coroner reported.

The 32-year-old Clueless star’s death was ruled accidental, and TMZ reports that the drugs found in her system were for cramps and over-the-counter medicine, including cough syrup.

Underlying problems of pneumonia and iron deficiency were to blame in what’s believed to have been a preventable death.

Actress Brittany Murphy died of cardiac arrest on Sunday morning at the age of 32.

TMZ reports Brittany’s mom discovered her unconscious in the shower.

The Associated Press reports that the Los Angeles Fire Department then responded to a 911 call from the home of screenwriter Simon Monjack, Brittany’s husband. She was pronounced dead at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

Brittany has starred in many films such as Clueless, 8 Mile and Riding in Cars with Boys.

UPDATE: Brittany’s family via her rep says, “The sudden loss of our beloved Brittany is a terrible tragedy. She was our daughter, our wife, our love and a shining star. We ask you to respect our privacy at this time.”

Yesterday, actress Brittany Murphy was plagued with untrue reports about being fired from the cast of The Caller.

A rep for the 32-year-old actress has cleared up the rumors and released this statement: “The allegations currently circulating on the internet about Brittany Murphy and her husband Simon Monjack read like a fictional plot from one of the 50 plus movies Mrs. Murphy has successfully completed without incident. She was not nor has she ever been fired from any job big or small. Mr. Monjack did not engage in any alleged scuffles. Though due to creative differences Mrs. Murphy and the production mutually parted ways. As far as wanting to allegedly ’sabotage this project’, to the contrary Mrs. Murphy wished this production nothing but the best. Puerto Rico gave Mrs. Murphy a brief insight into its wonderful culture and warm people. Mrs. Murphy would like to take this opportunity to thank the public for their continued support.”

Brittany Murphy has pulled a fast one on us, eloping with screenwriter Simon Monjack, reports Us Weekly.

The 29-year-old Clueless star (this is her first marriage) was spotted partying with her new hubby at a Playboy event at the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, where both were sporting wedding rings.

“[Murphy and Montjack] were drinking Crown Royal, and [they] didn’t want photographers to take pictures of their rings,” said one source. “They were waiting to make a formal announcement on Monday. They were dancing in the V.I.P. section and around DJ Reach’s booth. They looked very excited, happy and jovial.”
