Cameron Diaz and Taiwanese actor Jay Chou film an action scene for the upcoming superhero flick Green Hornet in Los Angeles on Saturday (September 5).

Seth Rogen (pictured below) plays debonair newspaper publisher Britt Reid by day and by night, he fights crime as a masked superhero known as The Green Hornet. At his side is martial arts expert Kato (Chou) and his secretory Lenore Case (Diaz).

This specific scene has Jay and Cameron walking and almost falling off a ledge.

Cameron Diaz and co-star Seth Rogen shoot some chaotic scenes for their upcoming film adaptation The Green Hornet on Saturday (September 5) in Century City, Calif.

SPOILER: The pair shot an outdoors press conference scene, where Seth’s character gets shot in the left shoulder.

In the superhero flick, Seth plays debonair newspaper publisher Britt Reid. By night, he fights crime as a masked superhero known as The Green Hornet. Cameron plays Lenore Case, a secretary for Britt.

The Green Hornet is set for a December 17, 2010 release.

Contrary to some rumors, the 36-year-old actress will not be starring in a remake of the Oscar-winning 1965 movie musical The Sound of Music. “I don’t know if I would do it because that is one of those awe-striking moments,” Diaz said of Julie Andrews‘ role. “Julie is amazing and I don’t know if I could follow an act like that. … She is just the epitome of grace and elegance so I’m very flattered that she even said that.” Andrews had announced that her Shrek co-star, Diaz, would be perfect for the part.

Cameron is also reportedly entangled in a love triangle between Jude Law and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Cameron Diaz leaves the Boujis nightclub at 3am with a few friends after hanging out with Jude Law on Sunday (July 19) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 36-year-old actress opened up about drawing on her grief for her role in My Sister’s Keeper, which she has been promoting this month. “For me, this last year has been the most important year of my life,” she told the Times. “I’ve been very fortunate to have time to be with my family and be with myself, and I’ve learnt many lessons this year that, unfortunately, I couldn’t have learnt without that loss.

“I believe that if something so great has been taken from you, there have to be gifts in that,” Cameron said. “Although my father is dead, which really sucks, my grief forced me to recognise the good things he gave me in my life.”

Cameron Diaz is toying with an offer to play the female lead in the upcoming superhero flick Green Hornet.

The 36-year-old actress would star opposite funnyman Seth Rogen, reports EW.

Set to helm the movie is director Michel Gondry (2004’s Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 2008’s Be Kind Rewind). Seth and his writing partner Evan Goldberg penned the script.

A release date for Green Hornet is set for July 9, 2010.
