After the match, Maria said: “I have had to deal with a lot of ups and downs in my life, on and off the court. But the number one thing is not to be disappointed by that, or by losses, or by negative things, things here and there. You have to find a way to keep your head even though it’s pretty tough.”

Maria, 20, is looking forward to the Summer Olympics and has dreamed of competing.”It’s been a dream of mine ever since I was a little girl, so it’s been one of my priorities for a very long time,” Maria said. “The Olympics comes around only once every four years and the U.S. Open is there every single year. One of the things I’m really looking forward to is the opening ceremony and walking with all the athletes from my country in front of thousands of people.”

The flawless Camilla Bella (in Gucci) arrives at the premiere of her new film 10,000 B.C. at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Wednesday.

Belle, 21, said the blue contact lenses she wore for the film “were quite irritating. They were thick and hand painted. So from the inside I had no peripheral vision, the boys had to help me walk up the mountain because I’d be falling. I couldn’t see anything but they look amazing, so that’s what matters.”

10,000 B.C. synopsis: “In a remote mountain tribe, the young hunter D’Leh (Steven Strait) has found his heart’s passion – the beautiful Evolet (Belle).
