Carey Mulligan cracks a smile on the red carpet at the Directors Guild of America Awards held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza on Saturday (January 30) in Century City, Calif.

The 24-year-old An Education actress wore a lovely one-shoulder gown as she posed for photos and presented at the awards ceremony.

Carey’s family recently spoke out about how proud they are of her - and how Hollywood hasn’t changed her!

“She was back visiting her grandmother over the festive period and you would never tell she was one of the most up-and-coming stars in Hollywood,” Carey’s uncle, David Booth, said.

The film, out later this year, follows Gordon Gekko (Douglas) after he leaves prison and must redefine his image for his second chance. Shia plays Jake Moore, the fiance of Gordon’s daughter (Mulligan).

Also appearing in the film are Josh Brolin as the head of an investment bank and Susan Sarandon as Jake’s mother.

Carey Mulligan shows off a stylish red gown by Lanvin on the red carpet of the Screen Actors Guild Awards held at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium on Saturday (January 23).

The 24-year-old actress is up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her work on An Education. The cast of Carey’s film is also up for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture!

Carey finished her glam look with jewels by Fred Leighton - she’s wearing 19th century diamond snake pendant earrings, a diamond line bracelet and a pear-shaped diamond ring. Gorgeous!

The 24-year-old An Education starlet wore a Nina Ricci navy and black organza and guipure strapless gown and Fred Leighton jewels.

Carey is up for the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama. Carey is up against Sandra Bullock, Gabourey Sidibe, Emily Blunt and Helen Mirren!

Carey Mulligan is all smiles in Marni at the 2010 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday (January 15) in Hollywood, Calif.

The 24-year-old An Education actress unfortunately lost Best Actress to both Meryl Streep (Julie & Julia) and Sandra Bullock (The Blind Side). The critically-acclaimed flick also lost Best Picture to The Hurt Locker.

Carey Mulligan and Hunter Parrish are back in black at the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Awards gala at NYC’s Cipriani on Tuesday (January 12).

The 24-year-old An Education starlet, who wore a gown by Prada, took home the award for Best Actress! Carey told USA Today that she’d found a way to counteract red carpet nerves: “I always have a bag I can hold on to really hard,” she shared.

Hunter, 22, came to the ceremony to support his film, It’s Complicated, which took home the award for Best Ensemble Cast! He also wore a shirt from Shipley & Halmos.

Shia LaBeouf and girlfriend Carey Mulligan take Shia’s dog Brando out for a walk together on Saturday (January 2) near his home in Hollywood.

The 23-year-old Transformers actor was recently named one of the top ten money-making stars in the Quigley Poll, a yearly survey that asks theater owners and film buyers their opinions on the top ten celebs that made the most money at the box office for the year.

Sandra Bullock took the top spot and Shia came in at #9 - right after Brad Pitt!

Carey was also recognized as a star of tomorrow in the poll.
