Celine Dion receives an award from Quebec City Mayor, Regis Labeaume, during a ceremony in Quebec City on Thursday.

The 40-year-old singer was born in Charlemagne, Quebec, Canada and thoroughly enjoyed her trip back home! She will be performing a free show tonight in Quebec City as part of a year-long birthday celebration to mark the 400th anniversary of the provincial capital. Over 200,000 are expected to show up to the Plains of Abraham!

Celine was joined by husband Rene Angelil and son Rene Charles. Her son is now 7!

The 40-year-old Canadian chanteuse was seen talking on the balcony of her hotel with an unidentified female and reading a magazine about kids.

Her son Rene Charles, 7, spent some time looking out on the balcony as well with a pair of binoculars.

Celine Dion continues her “Taking Chances” World Tour at the Croke Park Stadium in Dublin, Ireland on Friday.

The 40-year-old singer has been getting a lot of pressure for her 9,800-square-foot estate that guzzled 6.5 million gallons of water last year according to Ecorazzi.

The catch is that she hasn’t even moved into the place yet! The water usage is approximately 100 times of the average resident.

“‘People are pretty much permitted to use as much water as they want. [The district] has allowed people to over-water,’ said the Sierra Club’s Drew Martin. ‘If someone like Celine Dion planted natural plants and used ‘zeroscaping,’ then she probably wouldn’t need to use so much water. … The state’s basically going to run out of water because we do not restrict what people use in the first place.’”

Celine Dion joins her husband René Angélil, 66, and son René-Charles, 7, as she’s honored by French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris on Thursday.

The 40-year-old Canadian chanteuse received one of the country’s highest recognitions, a Knight of the Legion of Honor.

The family also attended the Celine Dion and Rene Angelil wax figure unveiling held at the Grevin Museum also in Paris.

Celine Dion signs autographs for fans after performing at the O2 Arena in London.

Celine has been in negotiations to bring her back to Caesars to headline again starting at the end of 2009 or early 2010.

“Right now Celine’s focus is on her worldwide tour. We begin the North American tour in August. We love Celine and always keep the door open for her to return to Las Vegas if she wishes,” said AEG Live in a statement. (AEG Live books the venue at Caesars).

Celine Dion goes into overdrive as she performs at O2 Arena in London, England on Tuesday.

This was the first time that Dion has been in the UK for over ten years. She started the night out with the upbeat I Drove All Night and ended the show with the ballad My Heart Will Go On.

Last month, the Titanic singer performed down-under in Sydney, Australia.

Celine, 40, has just completed a record five-year, five-nights-a-week show at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and will soon begin to focus more of her time on family and other interests.
