Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford recently split with American Idol champ Carrie Underwood and his unofficial spokesperson (his sister!) Candice has once again opened up about her pretty boy brother.

(Candice seems to have a big mouth. She was the one to speak on the record about her brother officially dating. Chace and Carrie never spoke publicly about their relationship.)

“He’s doing okay through this whole ordeal,” Candice tells People. “He was upset about the breakup. It’s always hard when you lose a relationship. Chace will get through it. We love Carrie, too. They’re dolls and they’ll both do well.”

On April 11, Candice will compete in the Miss USA Pageant at Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in front of celebrity guest judges Heather Mills, Joey Fatone, Rob Schneider and Project Runway winner Christian Siriano.

“The whole family (including Chace) will be there rooting for me,” said Candice, a.k.a. Miss Missouri. “My mom made T-shirts and little pins for everyone.”

Former N’Sync member JC Chasez is sick and tired of the rumors that he and Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford are more than friends.

“You know what, it’s laughable the first time,” he told People at the live finale of Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew. “I think the tenth time, it gets annoying. I don’t care about [people’s] assumptions or anything, but when people outright lie, that’s wrong. So I think that part of the rumor is outright stupid. The fact of the matter is I’m a straight guy and I’m allowed to have [guy] friends.”

In terms of high-profile dating, Chasez, 31, previously dated Eva Longoria and Chace, 22, dated American Idol champ Carrie Underwood.

Former boybander JC Chasez has gone on the record to officially proclaim and he’s not gay and he’s not dating Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford.

“For the record, we’re both straight,” JC told Kiss FM 104.7. “We’re not dating.”

Added JC, “Let’s clear that up real quickly and the thing is, we don’t even get to hang out that much. We are friends, absolutely, the guy is a super nice guy and he’s a friend of mine but you know the only time people would usually see us together is in some type of photograph so they just assume that it’s like that. You know people hang out with their best friends every day… and I don’t even see this guy every day. He’s a friend of mine, like I said, it’s just ridiculous. The fact of the matter is, if I’m standing next to a girl and I don’t have a girlfriend all the sudden I’m dating her. If I’m dating a girl and I’m standing next to another girl I’m having an affair, so now since there hasn’t been any of that smoke out there in a minute now if I’m hanging out with a guy they’re going to make up a rumor, it’s just stupid now.”

Ya heard, America? These JC gay rumors are stupid!

JC is a judge on the MTV reality competition show America’s Best Dance Crew, which has its live finale this Thursday @ 10PM ET/PT. It’s the JabbaWockeeZ versus Status Quo!

The studs of Gossip Girl make an appearance at The Paley Center for Media’s 25th Annual William S Paley Television Festival in Hollywood on Saturday. Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and Penn Badgley all made appearances.

It was reported yesterday by TV Guide that “a male character on Gossip Girl will be revealed to be of the gay persuasion when the show returns on April 21.”

In the book series, Dan Humphrey (Badgley) played for both teams, so he’s a likely candidate. But my money’s on Eric van der Woodsen (Connor Paolo), Serena’s little brother.
