Charlize Theron recently sat down with the NY Times. The 32-year-old actress was asked how it felt to be a sudden star and if she got stalked by paparazzi.

Charlize answered, “There was less then than now. I don’t like the tactics of the paparazzi, but in some ways, I almost prefer their unflattering shots to the glossy images in magazines. I like to see the human underneath.”

And interestingly enough, Ms. Theron shared what kinds of sounds she likes. “I like the noise of things frying because I love fried things, coffee brewing, that (imitates whirring sound) sound, friends and people that I love laughing. I love the sound of my dog begging for food.”

And sweetly, she says, “I love when the man of my dreams says ‘I love you.’ There you go. I’m a sucker. I’m a loser.”

Charlize Angel, Come On!

Charlize Theron and longtime boyfriend Stuart Townsend attend the 1st Hollywood Domino Tournament at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

The first place winner takes home a customized Instrumento No. Uno watch as well as $50,000 dollars to donate to their chosen charity. The event was sponsored by the Swiss luxury watch brand de Grisognono.

All proceeds from the tourney went to the Art of Elysium, a non-profit organization that runs arts workshops for seriously ill children.

Charlize Theron and long-time boyfriend Stuart Townsend arrive at their hotel on Sunday in Dublin, Ireland.

Charlize plans to skip the Oscars this year as she isn’t nominated this year. She said: “We are not going to the Oscars this year. I don’t think you go to those kind of awards unless you are nominated. I think it’s special if you get a nomination, or your film does. But we don’t have any nominations or anything like that in the house so we sit in our jammies and watch it on the couch.”

Charlize Theron stays close to partner Stuart Townsend at the 2008 Meteor Awards at the RDS Simmonscourt on Friday in Dublin, Ireland.

Townsend, 35, was born in Howth, County Dublin, Ireland.

The Dublin International Film Festival, which runs until February 24, is also hosting the Irish premiere of Battle In Seattle tomorrow. The film, which was directed by Townsend and stars Theron, depicts the riots that confronted the World Trade Organization’s 1999 meeting in Seattle. More Here! »

Harvard is just doling out the awards, aren’t they?

Not only did Paris Hilton just pick up “Woman of the Year” by the Harvard Lampoon, Charlize Theron also received “Woman of the Year” today from Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals in Cambridge, Mass.

The 32-year-old actress rode in a Bentley convertible during the Harvard ‘Hasty Pudding’ Parade, where she given the award - a brass pudding pot. Charlize sat sandwiched between dolled up Harvard students David Andersson (left) and Evan Eachus.

During the parade, Charlize bent down and tapped her car’s driver on the shoulder with an offer. “I did The Italian Job, if you want me to take over.”

The Hasty Pudding Awards are given to performers who have made “a lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment” as decided by the Hasty Pudding Theatricals, America’s oldest undergraduate drama troupe.

FYI: Vanity Fair canceled its most lavish bash for the Oscars because of the writers strike. “After much consideration, and in support of the writers and everyone else affected by this strike, we have decided that this is not the appropriate year to hold our annual Oscar party,” said a Vanity Fair spokesperson. “We want to congratulate all of this year’s nominees and we look forward to hosting our 15th Oscar party next year.”

Sleepwalking stars Charlize Theron, Nick Stahl and Anna Sophia Robb enjoy a walk together down Main Street during the 2008 Sundance Film Festival on Tuesday in Park City, Utah.

Sleepwalking is a Bill Maher-directed film about a young man ill equipped to raise his abandoned niece and is forced to take responsibility when faced with the prospect of losing her to a foster home. Dennis Hopper, Woody Harrelson and Deborra-Lee Furness (Hugh Jackman’s wife) also star.

Other pictures include Charlize and husband Stuart Townsend shying away from photogs at LAX airport last night.
