Chris Brown arrives at LAX airport with his bodyguard in Los Angeles on Tuesday (October 13).
The 20-year-old hip-hop artist has slowly been working his way back into the music world. His recent single, “I Can Transform Ya”, featuring Lil Wayne has been doing well and his 2008 hit, “Forever” worked its way back to #1 on the iTunes R&B chart.
A new single, “So Cold”, was just leaked onto the Internets and Chris tweeted about it, saying, “OMG as you all know a song leaked today from my album called so cold.. im a lil upset but i pray my album doesnt leak..”
Chris Brown has debuted his smooth new song “I Can Transform Ya,” featuring Lil Wayne and produced by Swizz Beatz.
“I Can Transform Ya” is the lead single from his upcoming album, Graffiti. It’s also the first official song to be released after his altercation with then-girlfriend Rihanna.
Sample lyrics: “I can transform ya, I can transform ya/ Anything you want, I got it, I can get it for you/ You my baby girl, so you know I get it for you.” And some more: “Shoes, you got it/ Bags, you got it/ Cars, you got it/ Money, you got it/ I can transform ya, anything you want, I can get it for you.”
Chris Brown goes shirtless while doing community service work in Richmond, Virginia on Thursday (September 17).
The 20-year-old singer wrote on his blog, “Stop and think back to the last time you accepted responsibility for something. Undertaking responsibility for each one of your actions is a difficult task but by admitting your mistakes you are taking your life to a higher level of accountability.”
Chris also posted pictures of two t-shirts that read “Stop Teen Violence” and “No Violence — Break The Cycle.”
Chris Brown has started his community service, donning an orange and red baseball cap while cleaning up the roadside.
He tweeted, “on my way to community service…” on Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, “Brown begins his 8-hour work day at 8:00 AM when a Department of Corrections bus picks him up, along with 30-40 other offenders. Brown will wear a reflective orange vest and pick up trash and litter along highways and roads. He’ll also have to trim brush along medians, remove gang graffiti from the VCU campus, and wash the inside and outside of law enforcement vehicles.”

Chris Brown recently announced that “Transformer” featuring Lil Wayne will be the first single off his new album, Graffiti.
The 20-year-old singer also wrote on his Twitter in all caps: “Graffiti!!!! Comin soon…. Just finished it…hands down … My best album… That’s all I’mma give away right now… I honestly don’t think the game is ready for the recordz I got coming off the new album…. (not tryna be cocky)!!!! LOL.”
No release date has been set for Graffiti.
Chris was recently slapped with a five-year protective order (for Rihanna), 180 days of community service, and attendance at a 52-week domestic violence program.
In a statement to JustJared.com, the 20-year-old singer said:
“There have been reports on the internet that I didn’t remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight. That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like 4 or 5 times — and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.
“The first four times – or how ever many times it was - I gave the same answer — which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, ‘Do you remember doing it?’ and I said, ‘No.’
“Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can’t believe it happened because it is not me or who I am or is what happened like anything I have ever done before.
“As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future.”
Chris Brown opened up to CNN’s Larry King in an exclusive interview – his first television interview since his arrest for assaulting Rihanna.
The 20-year-old singer admits he’s still in love with Rihanna but for five years, “We have to be like 10 yards away from each other.” Here’s what else Chris talked about:
On looking at the photo of Rihanna’s bruised face: “When I look at it now, it’s just like, wow, like, I can’t — I can’t believe that — that actually happened.”
On Rihanna dating other men: “I definitely would be affected by it, but, at the end of the day, I mean, we’re not together, so, if she’s happy, I’m cool. We’ll always be friends.”
On his sentence, including community service: “Everything comes with consequences. They want me to pick up trash remove graffiti. I’m a hard worker. It’s something I’m willing to do.”
On moving forward: “I just need to prove to people I can be a role model. That’s not who I am as a person, and that’s not who I promise I want to be. I made a mistake and I — and it was just something I have to live up and own.”
Chris’ interview on Larry King Live will air this Wednesday (September 2) @ 9PM ET on CNN.
