Hilary Duff wears a cool pair of camouflage glasses as she catches a flight out of LAX airport in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon (February 25).

The 22-year-old newly engaged actress next stars in the movie Beauty & the Briefcase (formerly known as The Business of Falling in Love).

The Duffster, who also exec produced the flick, portrays Lane Daniels, a bright effervescent fashion journalist whose career and love life intersect in a complicated way when she pitches the article “Switching Careers to Find Love” to Cosmopolitan magazine – her favorite mag and ultimate career aspiration. Lane can’t believe her luck when the editor goes for it in a big way, handing her the professional opportunity of a lifetime – a potential cover story!

Matt Dallas (Kyle XY) plays Seth, a hottie on whom she develops a crush. Chris Carmack (The O.C.) plays a gorgeous music producer with a British accent who sweeps Lane off her feet outside the office. Michael McMillian (True Blood) plays Lane’s new boss who takes her under his wing and teaches her the ropes. Jaime Pressly (My Name Is Earl) plays her editor.

Beauty & the Briefcase, based on the book “Diary of a Working Girl” by Daniella Brodsky, premieres on Sunday, April 18th @ 8-10PM on ABC Family.

Chris Carmack and costar David Anders film new scenes for their new movie, Into the Blue 2: The Reef on a beach in Hawaii on Thursday.

Also on set: Smallville actress Laura Vandervort, Marsha Thomason, Michael Graziadei and The Hills star Audrina Patridge.

Into the Blue 2: The Reef is an action thriller about aspiring treasure hunters but is a direct-to-DVD film. It’s also the sequel to the original Into the Blue (Jessica Alba, Paul Walker).

Chris Carmack shoots some shirtless scenes on the set of his new movie, The Reef, in Hawaii on Tuesday.

The Reef is a direct-to-DVD film from MGM and Brookwell McNamara Entertainment about a couple with a local dive shop and David Anders as the bad guy who hires them for an underwater job. (Anders played Adam Monroe on Heroes and Julian Sark on Alias.)

Carmack, 27, is best known for playing Luke Ward on The O.C. He played the cheating boyfriend of Marissa Cooper (Mischa Barton), who uttered the now-famous line, “Welcome to the O.C., b—-!”

Former O.C. bad boy Chris Carmack has been cast in Desperate Housewives, reports TV Guide.

Carmack will play Susan’s (Teri Hatcher) hunky cousin Tim, who winds up helping Mike (James Denton) with his taxes.

A teenaged version of Tim for the purposes of a flashback, has also been cast because Tim witnessed a tragic event, presumably involving Susan.
