Ellen Pompeo and her husband, Chris Ivery, are expecting their first child, confirms JustJared.com.
“It’s great news,” her rep Jennifer Allen first told People. “They’re ecstatic.”
The 39-year-old Grey’s Anatomy actress first met the 41-year-old music producer at a grocery store in 2003 and began dating six months later. The couple was married at New York’s City Hall in November 2007. Mayor Michael Bloomberg even served as their witness!

Last Monday, the 39-year-old actress and her husband, music producer Chris Ivery, visited a few lucky patients at Children’s Hospital Boston in Boston, Mass. On Tuesday, Ellen attended a luncheon ceremony to honor CHB neurosurgeon Liliana Goumnerova, who was awarded this year’s “Woman In Medicine” award.

Grey’s Anatomy stars Ellen Pompeo and Eric Dane go on a double date together on Saturday (March 7) in Malibu, Calif.
Each of them brought along their spouses. Ellen brought husband Chris Ivery while Eric kept close to actress wife Rebecca Gayheart.

Paris Hilton turns 28 today and she celebrated her birthday at New York City’s Butter Restaurant on Monday (February 17).
Butter owners Richie Akiva and Scott Sartiano organized the intimate dinner followed by a birthday celebration in the restaurant’s pink balloon-filled lounge downstairs. Lil’ sis Nicky Hilton, Mickey Rourke, Aubrey O’Day, Brandon Davis, JC Chasez, Tyrese, Chris Ivery (sans wife Ellen Pompeo), ex-boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos and The City’s Erin Lucas sang along to 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” birthday song as the starlet blew out the candles and sparklers of her three-tiered, hot pink cake (made by chef Alexandra Guarnaschelli). Happy birthday, Paris!!!

“It was my choice,” the 32-year-old Golden Globe nominee revealed. “My last day of work is Tuesday (January 13). I love the show so much. I’ve made some beautiful friends. I love T.R. Knight. I love Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers… I adore Ellen Pompeo. I think she’s a strong, incredible woman. And Katherine Heigl is the most beautiful creature on Earth.”
Ellen Pompeo gives a little advice about why her marriage with husband producer Chris Ivery is so strong, and her exercise and diet regimen that keeps her in tip-top shape.
“We never try to be apart — we go everywhere together,” the actress tells OK!. “I think that if you marry someone you’re madly in love with, then that’s all that matters.”
Ellen also shared about her exercise routine. “I have a trainer, I do strength work, stretching, endurance and boxing,” she says. “I don’t eat much junk food. I try to eat six small meals a day.”
“I try to stay away from sugar while I’m shooting,” Ellen said. “On weekends I eat what I want. If I eat a Dove Ice Cream bar I feel great, but then I want a nap because I crash from the sugar. If I have to work and memorize my lines until one in the morning, I can’t be taking a nap!”
