Christian Bale gets the support of his wife Sibi Blazic at the premiere of his new flick, Terminator Salvation at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Thursday (May 14) in Hollywood.

ComingSoon.net recently asked the 35-year-old British actor: “You’ve been an actor a lot longer than you’ve been a star. With the TMZ culture, are you concerned about it distracting people from your character onscreen? Does it distract from your performance?”

Bale’s response: “Not for me it doesn’t because I don’t know what things are being said of gossipy stuff. My life is much happier when I ignore that. As for other people, that’s their choice. If they want to embrace that then they’re probably going to sacrifice enjoyment in the movies. I really believe that, but it’s their choice if that’s what they love looking at. I don’t get it, but it is what it is.”

Christian Bale picks up his 4-year-old daughter from school with his wife Sibi Blazic on Tuesday (May 5) in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Like a true gentleman, Christian carried his adorable daughter’s little backpack and pink jacket as they crossed the street.

The 35-year-old actor is looking forward to a big summer as Terminator: Salvation will hit theaters on May 21.

Terminator director McG recently spoke about what to expect from the upcoming movie. “We’re going to win people over when they see what we have here. We’re bringing credibility back to Terminator.”

Speaking about Christian, Batman costar Michael Caine was “stunned” by the Terminator actor’s on-set tirade saying it was out of character for him. Yet, Michael Caine, who plays Batman’s faithful butler, claims he’s no different.

“I’m more like that than he is,” talking about Bale. “You’re liable to get a volley off of me if you walk around during my takes.”

As for the next villain for the next Batman, Caine reveals that it “would probably be The Riddler.”

The 35-year-old British actor is rumored to be joining Mark Wahlberg in the Prisoners, as directed by Bryan Singer (Superman Returns, Valkyrie).

According to THR, here’s the plot: After his 6-year-old daughter and her friend are kidnapped, a small-town carpenter butts heads with a young, brash detective in charge of the investigation. The father is a Bible-reading, deer-hunting survivalist. The cop, meanwhile, can’t wait to get to the city. Feeling failed by the law, the father captures the man he believes responsible and begins to torture him in a desperate attempt to find out what he did with the girls, whom he’s convinced are still alive.

Christian Bale welcomes his daughter home with open arms on Saturday (February 7) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 35-year-old British actor was doing some household chores when his wife Sibi Blazic returned home with their daughter, who turns 4 next month.

On Friday, Bale apologized profusely for his screaming and shouting on the set of Terminator Salvation, which opens on May 22. He said, “I acted like a punk, I regret that and there is nobody that has heard that tape that has been hit harder by it than me. I make no excuses for it, it is inexcusable and I hope that is absolutely clear.”

Christian Bale has called into the KROQ Kevin & Bean show in Los Angeles to apologize for his screaming and shouting mishap while filming Terminator Salvation.

The 35-year-old actor admits, “It’s been a miserable week for me. I know I have a pottymouth, everybody knows that now. I have no confusion whatsoever. I was out of order beyond belief, I was way out of order. I acted like a punk, I regret that and there is nodbody that has heard that tape that has been hit harder by it [than me]. I make no excuses for it, it is inexcusable and I hope that is absolutely clear.”

Christian continues, “One thing that has really disturbed me throughout this is I’m not familiar or comfortable with this notion of being a movie star. I’m an actor and I’m don’t quite know how to handle [the movie star thing]. The thing that disturbs me so much is that I’ve heard a lot of people saying that I seem to think I’m better than anybody else. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I’m a lucky SOB. I never forget that and that is why I put so much into what I do and I care so much about it . Sometimes that enthusiasm just goes awry.”

Mr. Bale ended, “I am embarrassed by it and I regret it. And I ask everybody to sit down and ask themselves, ‘Have they ever had a bad day and have they ever lost their temper and really regretted it immensely?’”
