Christian Bale has called into the KROQ Kevin & Bean show in Los Angeles to apologize for his screaming and shouting mishap while filming Terminator Salvation.

The 35-year-old actor admits, “It’s been a miserable week for me. I know I have a pottymouth, everybody knows that now. I have no confusion whatsoever. I was out of order beyond belief, I was way out of order. I acted like a punk, I regret that and there is nodbody that has heard that tape that has been hit harder by it [than me]. I make no excuses for it, it is inexcusable and I hope that is absolutely clear.”

Christian continues, “One thing that has really disturbed me throughout this is I’m not familiar or comfortable with this notion of being a movie star. I’m an actor and I’m don’t quite know how to handle [the movie star thing]. The thing that disturbs me so much is that I’ve heard a lot of people saying that I seem to think I’m better than anybody else. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I’m a lucky SOB. I never forget that and that is why I put so much into what I do and I care so much about it . Sometimes that enthusiasm just goes awry.”

Mr. Bale ended, “I am embarrassed by it and I regret it. And I ask everybody to sit down and ask themselves, ‘Have they ever had a bad day and have they ever lost their temper and really regretted it immensely?’”

Christian Bale dropped the F-bomb 36 times during his nearly 4-minute verbal lashing, according to Today show’s count.

The angry 35-year-old actor was exposed yesterday for screaming and shouting at Director of Photography Shane Hurlbut for ruining a scene by walking onto the set of Terminator Salvation.

“I want you off the set! You prick!” Bale yelled at Hurlbut. “No, don’t just be sorry! Think for one f—ing second! What the f— are you doing? Are you professional or not?”

Bruce Franklin, an assistant director and associate producer on the fourth Terminator film, tells E! News that Bale is a “consummate professional” and he was just having a bad day.

“If you are working in a very intense scene and someone takes you out of your groove…It was the most emotional scene in the movie,” said Franklin. “And for him to get stopped in the middle of it. He is very intensely involved in his character. He didn’t walk around like that all day long. It was just a moment and it passed.”

While filming Terminator Salvation a few months back, Christian Bale went ballistic when Director of Photography Shane Hurlbut ruined a scene by walking onto the set.

The 35-year-old actor threatened to stop production if the producers didn’t fire Hurlbut. TMZ reports that film execs sent the tape to the insurance company that insured the film in case Bale bailed.

“You’re a nice guy but that doesn’t cut it when you’re bulls—ing and f—ing around on set!” yelled Bale during his almost 4-minute rant.

The Dark Knight won every category it was nominated in at last night’s People’s Choice Awards. The film took home five categories, including Favorite Superhero, Favorite Movie, Favorite Action Movie, Favorite Cast, and Favorite Onscreen Match-Up (Christian Bale and Heath Ledger).

“On behalf of all of the cast from the movie, thank you very much to the fans,” said Bale. “Here’s to Heath.”

Johnny Depp promotes his upcoming cat-and-mouse thriller Public Enemies on the latest cover of EW.

The 45-year-old actor plays John Dillinger, one of the most notorious criminals of the 20th century, while Christian Bale takes on the role of federal agent Melvin Purvis.

Enemies is about the early days of the FBI and one agent’s pursuit of the Depression-era bank robber whose reign of stickups and near escapes ended in a hail of bullets outside of Chicago’s Biograph Theater in 1934.

“Dillinger was one of those guys, like Charlie Chaplin and Evel Knievel, that I was fascinated with at a young age,” says Depp. “And because of my grandfather [who ran moonshine during the Prohibition], the character was pretty easy for me to connect to. In a way, this movie was a salute to him… Some people might disagree, but I think he was a real-life Robin Hood. I mean, the guy wasn’t com­pletely altruistic, but he went out of his way not to kill anybody. He definitely gave a lot of that money away. I love the guy.”

A solo Christian Bale takes a stroll on Saturday (December 28) in Brentwood, Calif.

His latest film, The Dark Knight — the second highest-grossing movie in US box-office history — won’t be showing in China according to the movie’s studio.

Warner Bros. released a statement, saying, “Based on a number of pre-release conditions that are being attached to The Dark Knight as well as cultural sensitivities to some elements of the film, we have opted to forego a theatrical release of the film in China.”

The Dark Knight star Christian Bale carries fierce 3-1/2-year-daughter out of a store in Santa Monica, Calif., on Saturday afternoon.

The 34-year-old Welsh actor, who had a yellow smiley face sticker on his right hand, was accompanied by his wife Sibi Blazic. His daughter carried around a bag of cherry fruit snacks.

Christian can next be seen in Terminator Salvation as John Connor. After Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust, a group of survivors led by Connor (Bale) struggles to keep the machines from finishing the job. Out May 2009.

Christian Bale dines out at Beverly Hills’ Il Cielo restaurant with his Dark Knight co-star Aaron Eckhart and his wife, Sibi Blazic on Wednesday night.

The 34-year-old actor is currently working on Killing Pablo, which is based on a book called, “Killing Pablo: The Hunt for the World’s Greatest Outlaw,” which details the rise and fall of the ruthless narcotics trafficker.

Bale can be seen next in Terminator Salvation, which is set to hit theaters May 2009, and later in Public Enemies in July 2009.
