In the wake of the near-simultaneous release of Steven Soderbergh ‘s "Bubble" in theaters, on DVD and on cable, indie distributor Magnolia Pictures is ready to do it again, this time with a Herbie Hancock music documentary. ¶ "Herbie Hancock: Possibilities" will become available on all three platforms next month: opening April 14 in theaters in Los Angeles and New York, arriving April 18 on DVD and airing April 23 on the HDNet cable channel. ¶ The documentary chronicles the production of last year‘s Hancock album "Possibilities," in which the jazz icon collaborates with a diverse roster of musicians including Christina Aguilera, John Mayer, Carlos Santana, Paul Simon, Annie Lennox and Sting. It also delves into Hancock’s life, with archival footage including rare shots of the Miles Davis Quintet.

Culver City, CA :: Christina Aguilera, 25, attended LA Fashion Week’s Agent Provocateur UK-based lingerie show yesterday with husband-of- four-months Jordan Bratman.  Carmen Electra, Cher, Courtney Love and Kim Stewart were also in attendance (pictured after the jump).  Christina Aguilera recently talked about her upcoming album "Back to Basics" saying, "I feel like I’ve been pregnant for 18 months - it’s been tough. We dived headfirst into a 20s and 30s vibe. We have a song that sounds like you’ve just walked into a 20s burlesque club. There’s a lot of stuff that people haven’t heard from me before. On one song, I’m just above the mike. There’s no reverb and no effects. No gimmicks at all - nothing. The album has a throwback style using horn samples so it sounds gritty and old.
