After just three months, Christina Ricci and her comedian boyfriend Owen Benjamin called off their engagement before last week.

“Owen had a birthday party this past Sunday, and everything seemed fine. Sometime after, they got into a fight and decided to reevaluate things. [Then] the engagement was off,” a source close to the couple tells People. “They really are still close. They talk almost every day. It was a very mature decision and they both felt good about it. They’re definitely still friends.”

After all, they had only been dating for four months. But still sad!

• Christopher Reeve’s 29-year-old son, Matthew, plans to run the New York City Marathon Nov. 1 to raise funds for his father’s foundation, which helps people with spinal cord injuries. He’ll wear bib No. 1275, indicating the 1.275 million people with spinal cord injuries.
• Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth have signed on to appear in a musical version of The Addams Family on Broadway. Sounds like great casting!

Christina Ricci and her fiance Owen Benjamin go house hunting in Silver Lake, Los Angeles on Sunday (March 22).

After checking out the neighborhood, the couple did some shopping at a Borders Book store in Hollywood.

The 29-year-old (5′1″) actress got engaged to the comedian (6′6″) earlier in the month. The pair began dating last November after meeting on the set of All’s Faire In Love, a comedy about a couple who meets at a Renaissance Faire.

Recently engaged actress Christina Ricci shows off her her new sparkler while stopping at a mini-mart to buy an energy drink in Los Angeles on Wednesday (March 18).

Yesterday (March 17), the 29-year-old actress was seen wearing her engagement ring while out with her fiance, actor Owen Benjamin. The couple walked hand-in-hand as they grabbed lunch at the Gaucho Grill in Studio City, Calif.

Later this year, Christina and Owen will appear in the comedy, All’s Faire in Love.

Christina Ricci and Owen Benjamin are engaged, her rep confirms to Us Weekly.

The couple has only been dating for four months — since November!!! They also have a height difference of 17 inches. She’s 5-foot-1 and he towers over her at 6-foot-6!

Later this year, Ricci, 29, and Benjamin will also appear in the upcoming comedy, All’s Faire in Love.

Ricci dated Speed Racer costar Kick Gurry in 2007 and Adam Goldberg, from 2003 until 2006.

Christina Ricci bares her back in a gorgeous gray gown with a plunging back during Whitney Museum of American Art’s 2008 Gala and Studio Party on Tuesday evening in New York City.

The theme of the Gala was “Whitney — Past, Present and Future,” and hosted by Ricci, Alexandra Richards, Amanda Hearst, Dalia Oberlander, Matthew Brannon, Martin Dawson, Barbara and Andrew Mandell, Leighton Meester and the Whitney Artists Council.

Three pieces of one-of-a-kind jewelry were created for this year’s American Art Gala that was sponsored by designer Donatella Versace. The jewels were auctioned during the gala dinner along with drawings signed by each artist. The proceeds benefited the Whitney museum.
