Conan O’Brien gives a thumbs up after he and his wife Liza Powel have dinner at Locanda Veneta on 3rd Street in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Conan recently was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, which turned out to be an interesting interview. Conan reportedly will be taking over Jay Leno’s gig next year, however, there’s been rumors that Leno isn’t quite ready to give up his throne.

Late Night talker Conan O’Brien sips on a cup of coffee while strolling down Madison Avenue on the Upper East side of Manhattan on Tuesday.

On last night’s episode of Late Night, Queen of the Product Pitch Martha Stewart got Conan a little drunk while making alcoholic drinks “Irish Rickey” and “Black and Tan” in lieu of St. Patrick’s Day.

The pair also made a “Shamrock Cookie.” Yum-o!

• Ellen DeGeneres didn’t do a monologue yesterday to show support for striking writers. “I support them and hope they get everything they’re asking for…In the meantime, people have traveled across the country. They’re here. I want to do everything I can to make your trip enjoyable and give you a show,” she said at the beginning of her show yesterday. Still, one former staffer doesn’t believe Ellen is sincere and is blogging on SurgicalStrike.com about how the host treated her writers like dirt.

Joaquin Phoenix chats up his two films, We Own the Night and Reservation Road, on Monday’s episode of Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

Upon entering, Joaquin runs out and gives Conan a great big man hug. How adorable!

The 32-year-old actor talks about why he never watches his movies (again), humiliating his nephews (joking) and Christmas caroling.

Apparently Joaquin thinks “Feliz Navidad” means “corn is sweet”????????

Mary-Kate Olsen makes a guest appearance on Wednesday’s episode of Late Night with Conan O’Brien. The Olsen twin shared about her love for coffee, being constantly followed by paparazzi and pick-up lines guys have used on her.

The most memorable pick-up line MK recalled: “Can I make you tomato soup?” And she gladly accepted, saying, “I. LOVE. TOMATO. SOUP.”

MK made her return to the small screen on Showtime series Weeds on Wednesday night. Watch the video of MK’s interview with Conan below!

A huge comedy with tiny balls…

Maggie Q chats up her upcoming film Balls of Fury on Monday’s taping of Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Maggie teaches Conan how to do a roundhouse kick — watch the video below!

In the film (out in theaters now), Maggie Q plays Maggie Wong. Balls of Fury also stars Dan Fogler, Christopher Walken, George Lopez and Aisha Tyler.

Conan O’Brien will be replaced by Jimmy Fallon, if NBC has their way.

“We know him from SNL and saw what he can do on-camera and off-camera, and I think he’d be terrific,” says NBC late-night chief Rick Ludwin. I think he’s be terrific, and he’s at the top of our short list.”

Conan has less than two years left in his contact, making way for Fallon in 2009.
