The 24-year-old Real Madrid player scored two goals last night in a game against Malaga but was ejected from the game with a red card after elbowing opponent Patrick Mtiliga in the face.
“Those who understand football know that my intention is always to play the ball,” Cristiano said (via The Independent). “I learned in England not to deceive the referees.”
“I’ve spoken with Mtiliga,” he continued, “and he told me that I didn’t need to apologize because he doesn’t believe I hurt him intentionally.”

The 24-year-old Portuguese stud, who plays for Spanish club Real Madrid and the national Portuguese team, replaced David Beckham who has been the spokesmodel for Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear since January 2008.

The 24-year-old Real Madrid soccer star’s life and passion is described in the biography, written by journalist Enrique Ortego.
At the event celebrating the book’s release, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said of Cristiano, “He wants to give everything and Madrid does as well; this is a very good combination. We need players who refuse to believe that dreams are impossible.”

The 24-year-old soccer player received the AS award and said, “It is an honor to be the first foreigner to win this award but it couldn’t have happened without team work.”
“I do not feel any added pressure,” for being the most expensive signing ever,” added Ronaldo, “the President was correct in signing me and I will bring a lot of joy to Real Madrid and football fans during my time here.”

The 24-year-old soccer star returned after being out for nearly two months due to an important injury to his right ankle. He feels good and is ready to face Barcelona in Sunday’s game (El Clasico) at Camp Nou.
“I’m tired because I’m still not at 100%, but I’m sure I will return to be how I was before the injury, scoring goals, having good games and helping the team,” Cristiano told Spanish television channel Telemadrid. “I had a very good reception and now I want to show them the best of me,” he said. “I want to play in the Clasico if I feel good, although that is the reasonability of the coach. In any case, with or without me, the team are first in La Liga and in their Champions League group.
