Cristiano Ronaldo will be the new official worldwide spokesmodel for Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear and Armani Jeans starting from Spring/Summer 2010, JustJared.com confirms.

The 24-year-old Portuguese soccer stud, who plays for Spanish club Real Madrid and the national Portuguese team, will be replacing David Beckham who has been the spokesmodel for Emporio Armani Men’s Underwear since January 2008.

You can bet there were be lots of shirtless action on Cristiano’s part. Pantless too!

Beckham is currently developing his own Beckham-branded men’s underwear line.

The 24-year-old soccer superstar was acquired by Real Madrid for a record $131 million. “I am confident when the seasons starts I will be fine to help Real Madrid reach their goals,” he said recently. “I am relaxed, I have been working very well and I am sure things will improve.”

Ronaldo withdrew from a game with Portugal after he developed flu-like symptoms last week on a preseason tour of the United States. “Given all I have always done, do and will do for the national squad, I feel sad because of the doubts raised…People know me quite well so I can’t understand why they make these criticisms,” he said of people questioning his commitment.

Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo leaves his hotel in Madrid the day after being presented as a newest Real Madrid player on Tuesday (July 7).

The 24-year-old Portugal-born hottie has been well received by Madrid, to say the least! At the club’s shop at Santiago Bernabeu stadium, they sold 15 Ronaldo jersey every minute for over two hours! Over 2,000 jerseys were sold in that time. Over 300 jerseys, however, were stolen in the mad rush.

“I am just so happy to be here,” 24-year-old Portuguese star told the 80,000 fans in attendance. “For me, I have made my childhood dream a reality, which was nothing less than playing for Real Madrid.”

Real Madrid acquired Ronaldo from Manchester United last month on a six-year deal worth 94 million euros ($131 million dollars). “I understand…it is not your everyday thing to manage these figures, but I’m happy to be the most expensive player in the history of football and I’m going to prove that they paid good money for me and it was worth it.”

Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Rolando relaxes with his family in a mansion facing the water, in the exclusive resort of Vale Do Lobo on the Algarve Coast of South Portgual on Friday (June 26).

The 24-year-old hottie will be joining Real Madrid along with stars Kaka and Raul Albiol from Valencia. Despite the big names added to the club, Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has turned down the opportunity to head the team.

Arsene said, “”Real Madrid lean towards football-spectacle, but there is another dimension: the success of building a team with a style, a know-how, a club’s own game culture, of youngsters.” Guess having Cristiano isn’t enough for Arsene!
