The first James Bond: Quantum Of Solace images have been released, including character shots of Daniel Craig, Gemma Arterton, Mathieu Amalric, Giancarlo Giannini, Olga Kurylenko, Judi Dench and Jeffrey Wright.

Columbia Pictures even released an official synopsis to Empire Mag: Quantum Of Solace continues the high octane adventures of James Bond (Craig) in Casino Royale.

Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M (Dench) interrogate Mr White (Jesper Christensen) who reveals the organization which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.

Forensic intelligence links an Mi6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille (Kurylenko), a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene (Amalric), a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organization.

On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world’s most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano (Joaquin Cosio). Using his associates in the organization, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.

In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene’s sinister plan and stop his organization. Daniel Craig is sandwiched between his Bond girls Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton at a photocall for the 22nd James Bond film Quantum of Solace at London’s Pinewood Studios on Thursday.

“It has grown on me,” Craig told reporters of the new title. “It doesn’t trip off the tongue. But why should it?”

Added Craig about his character, “[Bond] is looking for his quantum of solace. He wants his closure… He had his heart broken at the end of the last movie and that certainly is a spur for him in this one… I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t revenge in his heart. But it’s more than that. That spurs him on, but that’s not what the movie is. It’s not a revenge movie. It’s about him figuring a few things out.”

Quantum Of Solace is due out Nov. 7. Mark your 007 calendars!

The 22nd James Bond film now has a title — QUANTUM OF SOLACE.

The title is from one of the short stories published by 007 creator Ian Fleming in 1960. Producer Michael Wilson said Quantum of Solace will have “twice as much action” as 2006’s Casino Royale. HOTTTTT!

Daniel Craig will be reprising his role as James Bond. Olga Kurylenko, who plays Bond girl Camille in the film, said that she’s been working hard preparing for her role.

“I’m doing weapons training and body flight training for aerial scenes and stunt work for fighting,” she said. “My days are so long, and it’s very physical. She’s going to be very different from the previous Bond girls.She’s a fighter. This girl is going to kick ass. She’s on her own mission and she’s driven by revenge.”

Gemma Arterton, who plays an MI6 agent in the film, said she has already shot her love scenes with Craig.

“I felt like a giggly girl,” she said. “And I felt so young and inexperienced - but I kissed James Bond!”

James Bond: Quantum of Solace is set for a Nov. 7th release.

Here are some great pictures of Daniel Craig shooting the new James Bond film Bond 22 on Thursday. The movie was reportedly shooting at The Water Gardens in Burwood Place, London (W2 2DA) near Edgware Road tube station.

This is Craig’s second adventure as 007 in the 22nd installment in the James Bond franchise.

It was recently reported that by Variety that Mathieu Amalric, who played a paralyzed stroke victim in The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, will play a villian in Bond 22.

Bond 22 has a tentative release date of November 7th and is being directed by the great Marc Forster (The Kite Runner, Finding Neverland).

Eva Green looks fabulous as Serafina Pekkala, the Queen of the Witches of Lake Enara. What attracted her to the role? Eva has said, “First of all the books are just really amazing and very rich. I had to read them because they gave me the script and it’s quite difficult in script to understand what’s going on. And it’s a trilogy and I read the books. I discovered a masterpiece. It’s really clever. Very spiritual, philosophical, extremely moving and quite dark for a fantasy adventure.”

Yesterday, Daniel Craig (in Tom Ford) and his girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell attended world premiere of The Golden Compass at the Odeon Leicester Square.

At the premiere, Craig denied signing on to do four more James Bond films contrary to statements made by MGM honcho Harry Sloan to The Hollywood Reporter.

“I never said that,” Craig said. “Well, that’s what’s been said, it’s not that it’s not true, because I haven’t signed up. What I’ve done is I’ve signed up on the next movie [Bond 22], after that we’ll see. That’s the way I’m doing it, and certainly it’s not four more — that’s the truth. It’s certainly not four more.”

James Bond actor Daniel Craig looks très sexy on one of the three covers for the December 2007 issue of GQ Magazine (Kanye West and Bill Clinton are on the other two). Here’s an excerpt from the article:

As told by GQ magazine’s style editor Adam Rapoport: “Standing in a small foyer at the top of a long, narrow staircase, I nervously checked the clock on my Treo, once, twice, three times, wondering just how late Craig would be. Not late at all, it turned out. The door from the sidewalk opened, and Craig made his way up the stairs, sunglasses in hand, wearing a pair of beat-up Levi’s, a distressed James Perse T-shirt, and the kind of no-nonsense stare that said, “Let’s do this thing and get it over with.” Or more specifically, I believe the Briticism he employed was “Let’s crack at it.”

And so we sat down, got the tape recorder out, and started cracking. Was he difficult? Maybe a bit. Challenging? Absolutely. Particular? No doubt.”

If you didn’t like Daniel Craig as James Bond, tough luck for you!

The Hollywood Reporter sat down with MGM head Harry Sloan, who called franchises “the base of any studio” and that is why he “signed Daniel Craig to do four more James Bond films.”

Four!!!!!!!!!! $$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The next Bond film, Bond 22 (the sequel to the 2006 film Casino Royale), will be directed by Marc Forster (Monster’s Ball).

Filming is set to begin this January in the UK, Italy, Austria, Panama and South Africa.

Bond 22 is set for a nationwide release date of Nov. 7, 2008.

Now the big question is, who’s the next Bond Girl???
