Daniel Radcliffe, star of the Harry Potter films, is in pure shock as he walks the red carpet at the 2008 Tony Awards held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday in New York City.

Radcliffe, 18, is planning his Broadway debut later this year in Equus. He will be reprising the role he first performed in London’s West End. He appears naked on stage!

Daniel Radcliffe aka Harry Potter, has often spoken about not being able to find a girlfriend, but in an interview with The Daily Telegraph, revealed his love of one particular Australian woman who he met backstage during an AFI awards ceremony.

“There was one girl there, oh my god, she had these eyes that just looked at me like she wanted to pounce on me,” Daniel said yesterday. “She stared at me the whole night and I was going to get her number and then I couldn’t find her.

“I must have walked around that party for an hour trying to look for this girl, like some sad pathetic dweeb but it would have been so worth it.”

Daniel, 18, started starring in the popular Harry Potter movies when he was 11.

Daniel, 18, has reportedly split with stage co-star girlfriend Laura O’Toole.

Laura told UK’s News of the World: “Daniel and I are still good friends and have a good time when we see each other. But we just have to be realistic.”

Daniel Radcliffe has just bought a NYC luxury apartment, according to NYT.

The Harry Potter star just picked up a condo for nearly $4.3 million at 40 Mercer, the Jean Nouvel-architected, André Balasz designed SoHo residential development.

The fifth-floor (fourth?) apartment has two bedrooms, two and a half baths, 1,843 square feet of space visible through floor-to-ceiling windows and access to a 50 foot swimming pool and steam room.

DanRad, who has a net worth of $35+ million, will reportedly rent his new buy “for a least a year” according to his letting agent, Chris Pomeroy. It is currently on the rental market, with an asking rent of $20,000 a month.

UK’s richest teen, who recently turned 18, will be making his Broadway debut in September in Equus, a role he also had in the London production of the play.

As part of ABC Family’s Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas, the first three Harry Potter films will air beginning next Friday, November 30 with Sorcerer’s Stone at 7:30 p.m. ET. Chamber of Secrets will follow on Saturday, December 1 at 7 p.m. ET and Prisoner of Azkaban on Sunday, December 2 at 6 p.m. ET.

Here are the very first pictures of Daniel Radcliffe on the London set of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince taken late Thursday night!

Radcliffe, 18, and Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore) were spotted sharing a laugh during a film break. Check out Gambon’s hilarious beard protector! The pair filmed the scene at Slughorn’s home in “Budleigh Babberton,” where Harry and Dumbledore and persuade the former Potionsmaster to return to Hogwarts to teach.

And be sure to peep the Dumbledore double (with glasses). He’s a smoker!

Half-Blood Prince is being directed by David Yates (Order of the Phoenix) and is scheduled to be released on November 21, 2008.
